Message Response Rate

I reach the requirement for Star Seller every month except for response rate because my messages regarding sales and my messages regarding my purchases are both counted. Does anyone know how to rectify this?

Etsy doesn't know what is said in the communication.  It could be a seller wanting to buy, a buyer wanting information, your best friend wanting to chat, your ex harassing you, or spam.  Reply to all new messages.  If they are spam, send them to spam.

You have to reply or mark as spam (the sender doesn't see this) whether you are the customer or the seller. An automated system is keeping track so they don't know the difference.

You have to respond to ALL first messages.  Doesn't matter if you are buyer or seller.  The bot doesn't differentiate.   You have 3 choices... Answer it, spam it or ignore it and say goodbye to Star Seller.

Reply to the ones that are from other sellers.  Or spam them.

The information on the SSP is quite clear on this.

As we have been told in the boards and by Etsy numerous times for months, we have to respond to the first thread in every message whether we are the buyer or the seller. Try marking the message as spam and see if that helps. No fix, this is how Etsy wants it done.
