According to the logs provided by Etsy, I replied to all messages last month within 24 hours (most within a few minutes). However, my Star Seller Badge was removed on December 1st, with the explanation that my response rate was 93%. I sent an email to Etsy Support, along with the logs I downloaded, but was told there is no way to restore Star Seller badges, and that my only option was to post about my problem here.
If the Star Seller Badge gives an advantage to listings as claimed, then there really should be policies in place where they can be restored case-by-case. Etsy prioritizes customer service to buyers; I hope they will do the same soon for sellers.
The badge is calculated on 3 months not one.
I have 100% responserate for those months as well.

You are also missing on time shipping and tracking.
I sell digital files only; they are instant downloads, so shipping/trackingdoesn’t apply.
@BlueDaffodilCrafts: The "Last Review Period" on your Star Seller page shows the stats for the December Star (September, October and November). You should check the CSV files to see which messages and orders Etsy thinks have issues.
According to the CSV, my responserate was 100%. So I’m not sure what happened.
"If the Star Seller Badge gives an advantage to listings as claimed..."
Pretty sure Etsy has never claimed that the star gives a listing an advantage. Etsy has said from the beginning that having the star has no impact on a listing search placement etc. It may in the future but as of now it has no impact.
That’s good to know. My understanding was that Star Seller listings were given priority when customers do a search. I’m glad this is not the case.
