Message Response Rate down to 50%

Hello, 

Can the message response rate be down to 50% because of 1 spam message? 

My message response rate is 100% and because of 1 spam message that I did not respond it down to 50% can this be fix? I'm hoping to get my star seller badge.

Did you put this spam message in your spam box? if not then it counts towards the star seller and requires a reply

That is what the option to mark the message as spam is for. You can mark it as spam now. It will not help for August but will for September. Just remember that any initial message needs a reply or be marked as spam.

You are correct, you didn’t respond to a new message so your percentage dropped. The reason to respond to all new messages is because you want the SS badge. If it’s junk mail then mark it as spam.

@GoldenCircleGifts: Almost everyone on this forum can sympathize with you but as it says right on your Star Seller page, you need to reply to the FIRST message of EVERY NEW INCOMING THREAD within 24 hours. It does not matter who sent it, the subject matter, if it is a duplicate or blank or anything else. If it is SPAM then it should be marked as such.

If the unanswered new thread is not a Help Request, at least for the time being, it appears that marking an unanswered message as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two if the original message was within the current star seller period (but not retroactively). Note that subsequent messages from that account may go directly to the SPAM folder.

If you only received two messages in the qualifying period and one was spam that you didn't respond to ... that 50% of your messages that you missed. If you mark that message as spam, it 'should' fix the problem eventually.
