I received an email from Etsy (conversations@mail.etsy.com) that I had a new message from someone at 3:39PM. I clicked the "View Message" link in the email and it took me to my Etsy inbox, but there are no new messages anywhere there— I looked through all possible folders inbox, spam, trash, from Etsy, etc. Has anyone else experienced this and how can I view my message? I checked on both my desktop and in the Etsy seller app, but nothing shows up.
Thanks!
It's possible it was a spam message that etsy deleted before you got to it. The message content is actually in the email, it's just hidden within the code. If you view the message source in your email app, you can scroll through the html & find the message text.

Most likely it was a scam message that Etsy caught and deleted.
Be aware that as a new seller you will probably receive other scam/spam messages.

Thank you, yes that's what it was. I was able to locate the message in the code like you said— definitely spam:
"Hello Ombrelly, Nice work getting your first sale! We're reaching out since it looks like we couldn't verify the seller info. We coudn't verify the seller info you shared in onboarding."
I don't see any code. I get these messages every day but they're not in my inbox when I click to view them. They come from "conversations@mail.etsy.com." Is that a correct header?
@WorldArtsNCrafts: eMails from conversations@mail.etsy.com are merely the eMail copy of an Etsy Message, not actually an eMail from Etsy itself.
Please be on high alert for scams. Read all the info about them.
REAL messages from etsy will always be in the "from etsy" section of your inbox. If etsy ever needs more financial info or ID info from you, there will be a notice on your dashboard—not via email.
I don't click links in emails! If it looks like it is from a legitimate source, I go directly to that site and log in to see.
Same thing has happenned to me
I'm with GroundZeroCreations - I never click the links in emails, even when it's from somebody that I think is legit. I just don't. For Etsy convos I go over to my store and read the convo. It's just too easy for a "legit" message to be spam - or worse....
