Merging Packages of 2 order

Jump to solution

Hi,

I have 2 different orders from a returning customer. One order has 1 item which she ordered before and liked so much. The other order has 3 items. I will make 2 packages and send them normally. There is not any problem here.

However, the customer created 2 orders in the same day with the same address. Can I merge 2 orders into 1 package and send all of them internationally as one package? I will add the same tracking number for both orders. That would be easier for me and easier for the customer. The package will arrive there at once. And also I may even use express service if I merge 2 packages I do not know. That may be better even in terms of the duration. If this was for a new customer I wouldn't use the same package. The price is below $800 so merging packages would not be a problem I guess for the custom fee.

https://www.cbp.gov/trade/basic-import-export/internet-purchases: Packages whose declared value is under $800 ($100 if being sent as a gift to someone other than the purchaser) will generally be cleared without any additional paperwork prepared by CBP.

Best Regards

Yes, the Americans have an $800 USD duty free allowance so you cand send in one box with no issues and the buyer would prefer it too in case the boxes get separated. Whenever I'm waiting for a big order in 2 boxes, they never arrive the same day!
