Local Pickup Star Seller dings

Dear Etsy, PLEASE adjust this problem in Star Seller qualifications; I sell on your site to a local client who picks up from my front porch. You ding me in star seller for not having tracking. I click on "this item doesn't have tracking", enter the date the item was picked up, and complete the order as you request. Though simply because I'm not shipping and providing a tracking number, this doesn't qualify. There must be a solution???

The SS has a strict set of criteria and if you don't meet them, you get dinged.

The only solution right now is to sell directly to them, and not through Etsy.  You can use Paypal or Square to invoice them if they want to use a credit card instead of cash.  Just tell them to email or call you directly instead of messaging through Etsy to tell you what they want.

If this is a local buyer did they find you on Etsy?  If not, why run the sales thru Etsy and pay the fees attached to the sale.

I sell stuff to locals quite often but they didn't find me on Etsy so I don't give Etsy a part of the money.

@PenelopeAndAnastasia: Probably almost everyone on this forum can sympathize with you but there are lots and lots of threads about your exact issue in this forum. Star Seller requires tracking on all physical orders.

All physical listing orders must include a valid tracking number or a shipping label purchased on Etsy to be considered for a Star Seller badge. At this time, we’re unable to make exceptions for local pickup orders.

This also applies to delivery orders.
