This is the second time that Etsy has failed to correctly change the shipping dates when I have custom orders. When I contact support I'm told the dates cannot be accessed and changed a second time. My query was not about that....it was why Etsy has an obvious glitch when I try to change the dates by five days or more. Yeah, I'm told, but the date on your order for shipping out is 1st of June ergo you are one day behind with shipping out. How can it be the 1st of June when the order only came in on 1st of June?
I'm seriously reaching the end of my tether with Etsy. I'm so close to closing my shop. The order was over £300 with Etsy fees of £45 so I had to cancel the order, more their loss than mine. Because I'm not having my account put on reserve through late posting which for some reason seems to be a massive stigma with Etsy, like some big dark sin you get punished for. If I get put on reserve I'm off, I'm afraid. They can stick that thieving little gem where the sun don't shine.
So when this shipping blunder is actually their fault and not mine, that just adds insult to injury. Get it sorted out so that dates can be rectified if either party get them wrong.
What processing time did you enter when creating the custom order?
It sounds like 1 day.
Since you are located in the UK, it could be due to a time zone difference. Depending on when the order came in, it could’ve been June 1 in the UK, but still May 31 in the US. Etsy always uses EST time, regardless of the shop location.
I set the date for 6th June. Plus 5 days.
