I have tried adding a few of your items and am not seeing the sold out when adding them to the basket
@CryzalisMasksUK Unfortunately this is the problem. It is happening randomly. I only know when a customer alerts me to it and I have 900+ items on the shop, so hard to keep checking. So far it has happened to 8 listings that I know of.
@OliverTwistsFibres I clicked on your bestseller > 5 Stranded Cotton, hand dyed embroidery etc. and it did not show as sold out. I was able to add it to my cart. If there's a specific listing you want me to check let me know what it is.

Is it more than one customer who’s reported this to you? Might be just something weird this one customer is doing.
@PieceByNumberQuilts It’s more than one customer. There have been 4 so far.
@OliverTwistsFibres On July 17th you changed your shipping settings per your Announcement. Have you revisited your settings (domestic and international) to make sure they are correct. It's possible some locations or regions are restricted and showing sold out if it's incorrect.
@SugarTaffySoap They were showing sold out to me too when I clicked on them. It was really strange because they were listed on the shop with a quantity showing, but when I clicked on them they showed ‘sold out’.
The few listings I looked at were fine, Jean. Can you post a link to one of the problem listings so that I can check it?
@BaggieAggie This gets even stranger. Now, when I check, it’s not sold out???
Are they all items with a quantity of one? This was happening a few weeks back. The solution was to increase the quantity.
@Adorabilities At leat one of them had a quantity of 5. I tried adding more quantity to the latest one and it worked. The trouble is I have 900+ items. I can’t keep checking them.all the time, nor should I have to.
As @Adorabilities mentioned, there was a problem like this a few weeks ago. It seemed related to renewed sold listings. Here are the threads
I had assumed the problem was fixed but maybe it still lingers on sold items that were last renewed while the bug was active.
@OliverTwistsFibres You’re definitely not the only one experiencing this issue. Here is another recent thread:

I had a customer tell me this once.
But the item was ordered by them. They saw the sold out ... apparently after ordering ... and messaged me. I had an order for that item from them.
Maybe its something like that. Customers could check by looking at what they've actually ordered. You could check by looking at your orders. I think there might be a time delay ... should be seconds but with a busy system or slow internet it could be longer ... and it's that delay between placing the order but before seeing a confirmation that could be confusing.
@GlassyFields No, this is not what is happening. I had to relist the items before the customers could purchase them.
@OliverTwistsFibres Did you read my post about your shipping settings? There's one item left on the link you posted so sellers here are probably carting the item and them removing it so it's fluctuating from sold to not sold... but read my post about shipping settings.
My shipping settings are fine. All of the customers reporting this were in the UK. Some of the items this is happening to have more than one available. One had 5 available, one had 3 available.
carting doesn't move an item to sold though ...
when you relisted ... were the items in the sold folder? That would indicate that they had been purchased successfully.
@GlassyFields Sorry, when I said relist, I didn’t mean renew, I meant that I created a completely new listing. The original listing was still in the active folder in ‘listings’ and showing on the shop, but when clicked on showing as sold out.
very odd ... Etsy does seem to have a lot of anomalies though. Hopefully that's all this is ... and a rare one.
