Hey folks, I’m having an issue and I have yet to find a solution. For myself I run a cosmetology business that centers itself around fandom inspired bath salts. The problem is any time I list something it tells me to put in the overall weight of the package. The problem is there are multiple items in one listing. I do not want to charge shipping for a tiny test tube in comparison to my 10+ oz jars. I cannot make separate listings for everything because I cannot afford that. I don’t think my shipping is accurate and I am losing customers due to this technical issue. Please note before you reply I have read the website and tried to search for a solution. As well as I have reached out to staff and nobody has responded. I have a learning disability and this makes the comprehension harder. Please be nice in your response because this is not because I am lazy I genuinely have a very hard time navigating these things. I just want to make sure it’s listed properly.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond :).
You can't have multiple shipping profiles in a listing. All listings can only have one shipping profile attached to them, which is why it won't let you add multiple weights to a listing.
This has long been a complaint, as people would like to have different shipping for multiple variations. So, this isn't you not understanding, it's just how Etsy's platform works (and doesn't work).
Your best options are to either include part of the shipping in the cost of the larger products or create separate listings.
Your shop is on vacation mode so there is no way to help you without seeing a listing
I can put it up now if that’s easier. Just give me a moment.

I’m glad I’m not alone, I am sorry to hear this is an issue among many others. Thank you for taking the time to explain this to me.
It would be better to remove samples and make separate listings for them, If you use fixed shipping, you could take a mean average and use that shipping cost for what is ordered. It will be too much for some and too little for others.
For calculated you can put in only one weight.
Thatls why it might be better to create a sampler set of listings or a sampler listing of everything for a buyer to purchase.
I had a feeling that might be the only way regarding the smaller sizes. Thank you for your feedback :).
