Listing expiration dates

Jump to solution

I'm having a hard time finding the listing expiration date on the seller app. If I'm not mistaken, that information used to be available on the listing through the old seller app. Some of my listings expire and I have no idea.
is there somewhere I can find that information in the app and I'm just not seeing it?

@HaunalynnDesign

I'm on android so not sure if this will apply if you are on iphone.

On the app go to your active listings and click on one. Then click the 3 dots up top right. You should see options like copy, deactivate, renew, renewal settings and delete.  The expiration date should be right there with the renewal settings bit.

On the Etsy Seller app, just hit the listings icon at the bottom - the exp. dates are right there, and you can filter at the top to expiring soonest, latest, etc.

Are you on android or iphone? I'm not seeing the dates unless I open the listing and click the 3 dots. I am using compact view but even when I turned that off the only date it shows me there is the 'last updated' date.

Doh! edit to add- I found it, I had to change the filters to sort by Expiring Soonest instead of Recently Updated. Maybe that's the issue OP is having. @HaunalynnDesign Be sure to check the filters sort options you have selected.

Can you tell I rarely use the app for listing hehe 🤦‍

Re: Listing expiration dates

May I ask, what about on the desktop version? When I look in the listings manager now, the renewal dates for several listings are wrong, some of them showing dates to be renewed months or years ago for items that have consistently been on autorenew. I'd swear that I used to be able to see when they were due to renew next (if not sold before then), or at least when they last autorenewed.

Even in the edit screen, these ridiculously inaccurate dates are what show as the expiration date if I would switch to manual. In other words, it says that a currently active listing will next expire or renew on a date in the past, a date that wouldn't even make sense as the date last renewed..

Do I really have to go back in my records to see each of these listings last sold (or was created), get out a calendar, and count out every four months to figure out when it would next autorenew or, if I switched to manual, when it would expire? Or dig through my payment account for the 20¢ autorenew fee and count four months forward? It doesn't seem that such a clunky method could be the only way to get this information. What am I missing?

Hey! I’m experiencing the same problem with expiration dates in the past (and just posted about it - and someone referred me here, to you).

Have you had any luck resolvingthis issue?

@runnerbean

Unfortunately no. Some of my listings still have crazy dates.

EpiclesisConsulting : I came in here for the same reason (listing expiration dates being wrong and weird), and as far as I can tell, this has been a glitch on Etsy for at least the past two years and still hasn't been fixed! ??? How can this be??

@runnerbean  why is it a problem? You saved yourself the renewal fee. Your oldest listing is in someone's cart!

Oh I’m still paying renewal fees - this isn’t a glitch where Etsy forgot to charge me since 2022!

I just want the platform to work properly and show me the correct expiration dates.
