Hello,
Two days ago, etsy removed one of my listing for violating Etsy's Creativity Standards. This listing was active for past couple of years and there isn't any changes made from my end as well and I've checked everything, there isn't any violation.
PLEASE HELP AS IT WAS BESTSELLER ESPECIALLY DURING BLACK FRIDAY WEEK AND CHRISTMAS...
Just because Etsy let an item or two (or ten) slide for a couple of years, doesn't mean the item is Etsy-legal. Etsy has been cracking down on shops who violate policy. Looking at your shop, it is a mishmash of odd and questionable products. I pretty sure your "Dental Repair Kit" with dental implants isn't Etsy-legal, and frankly, is pretty questionable to sell anywhere.
Etsy isn't going to reinstate your "bestseller". You are now on Etsy's radar, and likely that won't be the last take-down you receive.
@PerfeoShop: "This listing was active for past couple of years and there isn't any changes made from my end as well ..." Etsy let a lot of violations slide for a very long time, and now as the rules have changed it is clear that Etsy has stepped up enforcement of the rules.
"... and I've checked everything, there isn't any violation." Everything about your shop screams 'reseller' - you may want to reread Etsy's rules.
Good to see Etsy cracking down on dishonest resellers
Because you are reselling, using the manufacturers exact same photos. What is "creative" about that and how does it meet etsy's "standards"?
I am really surprised your shop has lasted as long as it has. If you want to continue to sell on etsy I would suggest you start to actually list some etsy legal items.
Thank you, Etsy. Now finish the job.
The actual deactivated listing is Melted glass Wine bottle plate cheese platter. Not made by myself at the moment but still handmade and all pictures are originally made by myself. Hundreds of other sellers with similar items are not affected.
Thanks for your replies everyone. I am making notes.
That is not how Etsy works.
You can't resell stuff made by someone else.
And then say it is made by you.
Simple as that.
We know it was the melted bottle, we can tell from the reviews.
Etsy was correct to remove the item. Taking a picture of it yourself does not qualify it to be sold here. You didn't make it, you are not allowed to resell items, even if someone else handmade them. You must be the person handmaking them. And if you're not, just stick to Ebay, they don't have the same restrictions on what you can list and sell.
Don't worry about those hundreds of other shops selling similar items. Some of those shops are legit and actually making the items, therefore are allowed to sell them. Those that aren't will start to get removals, just like you did.
@PerfeoShop you wrote "Not made by myself" is why that listing was removed because YOU didn't make it.
It doesn't matter you took the pictures, you didn't make the item.
Handmade means MADE BY YOU, not by other people/companies.
You can't go by what you see for sale on Etsy because there're 1000's and 10,000's of items listed that should NOT be.
You also don't see ALL the items that were removed in the last day, week, month etc for not being Etsy legal or all the shops that are shut down for selling items that are not allowed.
What can I sell on Etsy?

Items that fall under "Made by a seller" are physical items that are made by you, the seller.
Any items made by you, the seller, must:
If you're selling craft supplies/tools you can resell items made by other companies but that is the only categories and you have to list as "sourced by".
Items that fall under "Sourced by a seller" enable buyer creativity, like craft supplies, party decorations and items personalized with a buyer's unique text or image.

@PerfeoShop Thank you for admitting you did not make the listing Etsy removed. It means Etsy did not remove it in error.
Here is something to think about: You don't know is all the listings Etsy removed last month, last week, or yesterday, nor all the other offending listings Etsy will remove tomorrow, next week, or next month.
You are dinged by Etsy for takedown notices. You are also dinged by Etsy for bad feedback, which you have quite a bit of. You might want to move to Ebay before Etsy closes your shop.
When Etsy deactivates a violating listing, I thought they removed info on it from feedback?
@PerfeoShop The wine glass has to be made by you or someone in your shop. Anyone else and that is not following Etsy rules.
As to some of the other things, that is reselling,
Reselling is not allowed here. You have to be the maker of your items. Read the rules and your shop is not finished either.
@PerfeoShop You upload your products as "Handmade" (Made by PerfeoShop ).
This is from Etsy:
"Made by a seller
Items that fall under "Made by a seller" are physical items that are made by you, the seller.
Reselling is not allowed in the Handmade category on Etsy. Reselling on Etsy means listing an item as handmade when you, the seller, weren’t involved in designing or making that item. Learn more about reselling on Etsy."

Your listing was removed because you are clearly violating Etsy's creativity standards. Why did Etsy allow you to do this for so long? That is the real question. You may be able to get away with selling these products on Amazon or EBay, however Etsy is very different.
You are now on Etsy's radar. I suggest checking listings to make sure they comply with Etsy's handmade policy. Etsy's Creativity Standards - Our House Rules | Etsy Also you will want to add an about page and your UK shop policies.
