Is anyone else unable to update their Legal and Tax Information within their shop?
The 'SUBMIT to ETSY' button is greyed out and un-clickable. (Etsy has confirmed that it is a technical issue and not something I am missing)
I have been having this issue for 2 YEARS with no luck. I have called Etsy Support and spoken with multiple representatives and the best they can do is send and email to the technical support and legal teams that would be in charge of correcting and verifying these issues.
I am now in a situation where if this information is not corrected within the next day my store will be put on vacation mode. Again, I have been trying to update this information for 2 years. I have not once received any communication back from these departments.
I am at a loss of options and am curious if anyone has had this issue corrected.
I appreciate an help.
Thanks!
Hey All,
I apologize for not closing the loop on this. It was an error within Etsy's system. The 'Submit' button was greyed out and was un-clickable.
The only information that I needed to update was to add my phone number. But, since the button was greyed out I was unable to actually submit the information. I spoke to several representatives over the phone but the best they could do is forward my request with "high priority" to the team that could fix the error.
The most frustrating part (aside from my store being on vacation mode) was that they were using my phone from my ticket request to call me back before each conversation. But, they were not able to update my information for me. A ticket was also submitted to legal to see if they could confirm that the number I was trying to submit was mine...
In the end the error was corrected and I was able to submit my number and was approved almost instantly.
Unfortunately, there is not a quick fix if you are having the same problem that I was having. Your best option is to get the ball rolling by creating a ticket and getting on the phone with a representative.
I hope this information helps.
Thanks!
Kyle
I found this process to be very clunky. I couldnt get my info to update and realized i needed to upload my photo id...although it had a verified tag on it already. I just uploaded the photo id and I finally got the message saying it was submitted. I swear i was messing with it for 2 days.
Hey FFC,
My photo id was already in the system and thought I might resubmit it to see if it helped remove the greyed out button and move things along. Unfortunately all it did was lock my payment account until the new id could be verified. The yellow banner mentions it can take up to 48 hours to be verified. It has now been a week.
I appreciate your suggestion as I was hoping this would work also.
Thanks!
same here. submit button greyed out.
same problem with my shop, it is really frustrating. any solution or advice?
Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issue.
@NutsDirect This is an old post. It would be best to start you own and explain what you are seeing.
You don't have your location in your shop which is important information for the answer.
You may need to update your legal name if you have middle name
