Item Details not showing full description on phone

I am a seller that shopping on iPhone and noticed under their “item details”

it did not show length so I inquired and told her the length is not showing. She said it was and took pic of her listing showing length.

I took pic of what I was seeing and it was shorter description “not” showing length.

she was wondering why people were asking more questions.

in a nut shell she said people shopping on phones don’t see the full description.

That’s absolutely not good as fits are noted in my details.

if customers have to ask questions your losing sales.

And your question is?  There should be buttons on phones to click to see the whole description.  You can also put lengths in the title and descriptions so buyers won't have top hunt for them when Etsy truncates the titles and hides or moves the descriptions again.

Agree- but what you are seeing is not new. That is why most sellers will tell you to put Important info at the top of the listing-- or create a picture that says the impt info-- buyers see the pictures. Etsy likes to move the description around and lots of us have a hard time trying to find/see the whole thing on our phones.

Solution:  If your phone is not providing all of the important information, don't shop on your phone.

Etsy versteckt gerne die Beschreibung. Nicht nur auf phones. Der Grund ist nicht bekannt.

Dafür habe ich mir heute, wieder, eine negative falsche Bewertung eingehandelt.

Warum? Der Kunde hat offensichtlich nicht gelesen, was er überhaupt kauft, und lässt seinen Frust dann bei dem Verkäufer aus.
Er hat auf den Bildern etwas gesehen, das dachte bekommt er. Mein Haus hat er Gott sei dank nicht verlangt.
Etsy entfernt die Bewertung natürlich nicht. Verbotene Fakten zu Medizin aber schon... OK...

Na, ja. ich sehe die Schuld für den immer wieder vorkommenden Ärger bei Etsy, weil die Beschreibung, das wichtigste überhaupt verborgen wird. Letztendlich schadet sich Etsy selbst. Es erzeugt unzufriedene Kunden.

The site belongs to Etsy.  They can do anything they want and you agreed to this when you signed up to open a shop here.  Etsy has been changing where and how they show descriptions for years.  The only thing you can do it is show a first picture that shows exactly what a buyer will receive, save any photos showing it in use for later pictures and use one of the photo slots for important information.  Etsy is not going to stop changing how and where they show the description.  And I wouldn't draw too much attention to your shop if you don't have permission to use the trademarked names for your items and you don't properly describe accessories for them.

this is happening on PCs too now.

i am in some kind of test for descriptions.

it only shows 2 short lines and then there is a long oval box.

it says...learn more about this item.

so you need to click it to see the rest of the description.
