I am having issues with my listing description not properly formatting within the Etsy app. On the website everything looks good (paragraphs spacing etc...), but when I pull up the item description within the app, everything is bunched together like one huge sentence. I couldn't find anything in the handbook regarding this.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be going on?

I just looked at your newest listing via the app and looks fine, paragraphs and spacing.
HI, thanks for looking at the listing. Do you by chance remember the name of the listing? I am checking all of them, even the most recent listings, and they all look really bad on my end. I hope it's just a glitch on my app. Wish I could share a screen shot
@StickEmUpLabels I am having the same issue with the formatting of the description on the App... did you find the solution?
Edited to Add: I did check a few of your listings on the app, and they are all one large paragraph as well. Not formatted on my app either.
Thanks!!
Im having the same problem.
Wanted to add that formatting is fine on the app on my iPad, but all one long string of words on android app.
Hi,
It may be due to the characters in your description. In my case, I removed my <<<<<< and my >>>>> characters in my description and the problem resolved.

I think it might be the length of the descriptions. Went in and shortened a few, and they're fine now. I'm wordy LOL.
All of you app users might want to read TonsOfPaper's answer on https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/92-shipping-rating-because-5-sales-didn-t-show-a-processing-time/m-p/139267719#M720476
SOLVED: Its the < and > symbols.. dont know why in the coding but just use any other symbol.. even bullet points and ► or # work fine to break up our listings to me more readable.
Length wasnt an issue as mine are pretty long to inform folks, but once I took out the <>'s the description was fine.
@JKlausJewelers: "Its the < and > symbols.. dont know why" Probably because they are HTML reserved characters and the parser is getting confused.
