Issue with photos on existing listings?

I just found a few listings which had the main photo missing and the other photos were not in the correct order (I am very specific when creating a new listing, I always put the photos in the same order), that seemed very odd to me. I will now be checking all my 1300 listings to see whether the 1st photo is correct at least. I was lucky enough to find these because I was actually looking for something else.

Furthermore all my thumbnails have been back to their  original, non zoomed in state if that makes sense. Not all of them weirdly enough but a lot of them. I am the only experiencing this or...? I am not looking forward to be re-adjusting hundreds of thumbnails

I am finding a lot more listings where the 1st photo has gone MISSING, HELP! I have 1300 listings, all unique and all having their own photos. I am about to have a crisis here.

Is this something sitewide and will it be corrected or am I f*cked!?

I have two shops, both small enough to check, and they seem to be fine.

And I'm particular about the photos, too, so I would notice.

I'll add, just for info ..... I have not been resizing or changing photos or anything.  I've been completely ignoring the whole change-of-photo-shape brouhaha.

I went through all of my listings and found 7 listings where the 1st photo has mysteriously gone missing. I don't think I will sleep well tonight, will have to check again tomorrow. Will be correcting these 7 for now and will start redoing my thumbnails tomorrow.

(I work in film, so this is a side hustle, to explain why I only currently have 4 listings, and haven't been terribly active lately.) That said, I have been trying to edit my most popular listing so I sell more of them while the strike is on and I have also found photos missing or cropped poorly. Further, I have been unable to edit them either with the new manager or the old. It isn't just you.

@swatchoclock  Those 7 photos which have gone missing. When you are in your Shop Front, do those thumbnail photos show?  Or is there a blank box?  Because that is concerning and I'm sorry you had to check all of your photos. And when you found the photos missing, are you on a browser, the app, etc.?
I did search through Forum Threads and have not seen anything re: thumbnail photos disappearing. But it's happening to you.

@ChillwolfArt Thanks for your response. A few of the listings which were affected somehow had a 'copy' of the last photo as the first photo. The last photo was still the last photo but it was also the first photo.

It was really weird.

I do have an app which syncs with shopify but that works flawlessly normally, I can of course not say with 100% certainty that that did not cause it but since it is happening at the same time that most of my my thumbnails are messed up, it would surprise me, especially since the thumbnails appear to be a sitewide issue for more sellers.

I always work from a browser on either a desktop computer or a chromebook, I only use the app for messaging or to check details.

@swatchoclock  Man, that is a Bummer.  Because if your thumbnail photo is indeed showing while you are in your Shop Front, you would have had to open every listing to discover that first photo was gone.  I am sorry about that.

It was not the first photo showing, it was the last, that's why I noticed it without having to open every listing. 

I 'could' check every listing to check all the photos whether they are correct, but that is too much for now. I will have to open up most listings to correct the placement of the thumbnail anyway, tonight.

My problem is related.  When I am doing a search of doll items to buy from others, about half of the photos that I saw are very likely the second or third one, that is, I am seeing the back of the head rather than the face!  I am sure the sellers would rather that I see the doll's face rather than her scalp!
