I'm posting about this again in hope that it will be addressed by Etsy. Renewal of expired listings is not functional! Renewal of unexpired listings only works after an unpredictable time lag. We are potentially losing customers as long as this problem persists.
Can we please get some information about when this will be addressed?
Bumping this post - hopefully admin will see it!
This just happened to me. The listing is still in the 'Sold Out' section after I renewed it. I noticed a few months ago that it took a few seconds to update the listing status so I tried refreshing the page several times but that didn't help. I also checked my shop home page incase it was there but nope. It seems that the short lag I noticed a few months ago has become dramatically longer. (Chrome browser on Mac Mini IOS 10.15.7)
be careful it happened to me on two listings and when it did renew they charged me twice and won't refund me.
Update: I went to bed and in the morning found that the listing had renewed and was available in my active listings but obviously I don't know how long it actually took.
@TheCraftCubbyCards luckily I was already aware there might be a bug so I only renewed once.
Our experience today is 45 - 60 minutes for a listing status change to occur.
@BagmakerSupply That's awful.
It's ridiculous that there is no Announcement about this glitch. Especially since someone posted that Etsy said they were aware of it. It's absurd to have a lag with this length of time. Does anyone wish to "at" Admin ampersay in Technical Issues?
Update: I just tried renewing an expired listing and it seems to have worked. I was charged immediately and the listing appears to be renewed. I'll try with more and see what happens.
Good news!
@luola Glad to hear it's now working as it should be for you. And I doubt that Etsy will refund the double listing fees (unless I'm wrong). But you should definitely contact them about it.
@luola ETA: Meant to say; I doubt Etsy will refund the double listing fees automatically (without you first contacting them). Unless I'm wrong about that.
Seems to be working consistently for me. Now the question is will they refund us for the double listing fees.
