Issue with Updating Shop Announcement and Store Details on Etsy

Today, I just finished changing my shop name on Etsy. After that, I wanted to edit various shop details, such as Shop Announcement, Add a story headline, and Add story shop, to update the information according to the new shop name. However, I encountered an issue where I couldn’t edit them as expected.

When I went to the Shop Announcement section, added a new message, and clicked save, the system saved the information as expected. But when I checked the shop page, I found that the old message from the previous shop name was still displayed and the new message I saved didn't show up at all.

To test this, I tried deleting all the content in the Shop Announcement section and clicking save. The result was that the message disappeared entirely. But when I tried adding a new message again, I found that the old message from the previous shop was reappearing, which prevented the new information from being displayed properly.

Initially, I tried several steps to fix the issue, such as:

• Changing the browser I was using
• Using the Etsy app to make the changes
• Clearing the cache and cookies in the browser
• Refreshing the page and logging out and logging back in

However, the problem still persisted. No matter what steps I took, the result was the same: the old message from the previous shop name kept appearing, and the new message I tried to save did not display.

Changes are no longer instantaneous (or close to) like they used to be.  You might have to wait a couple of hours for them to take affect.

Thank you for the advice, I found that the issue is caused by Etsy's automatic translation. It translates the text automatically but still displays the old message. Only when I click See in original language does it update to my new message. I have already turned off automatic translation and changed the original language to English, but it still displays incorrectly.

Just here to stan this clear, thorough post that addresses that you've (essentially) "turned it off and back on again." Looks like creator tools have fallen to bits, between this and the thumbnail issue and the alt text and who knows what else.
