Issue with Etsy Label and Australia Post Prices

Can we please get the Etsy label setting fixed for Australia Post? I had already contacted the support for that months ago but nothing has been done... 

The system overcharges for parcel below 500grams (and maybe for other combination of weight/size). This renders using Etsy labels absolutely useless, as this would charge me more than 50% extra for shipping. 

You can replicate this error by putting for example a parcel size of 22cmx15cmx7.7cm, which should be $10.60 for domestic shipping. Etsy label gives you a $16.21. Can this please be fixed ASAP?

I complained to Etsy about this 3 years ago. To paraphrase, I was told that Australia Post had made a change whereby Etsy was only able to purchase online postage from them at the cubed weight. 
I believe this only applies to the AusPost domestic rates.

I suggest using a MyPost business account.

I complained about 3 years ago as well.....and it has got worse since then...so haven't used Etsy labels for years...... Etsy also appears to be charging GST incorrectly with Australia Post labels (added to the final price instead of included in the total price and then broken out). Many parcels would cost double or more if using Etsy with Australia Post. I was told the issue was with Australia Post and the software they are providing to Etsy - and this information appeared to be correct . Using AP/Etsy you will also end up paying a mysterious "fuel tax" which you don't pay if you use Australia Post direct or through an online account.

@C20Ceramics Not to mention that Etsy does not offer the AusPost products that save us money like prepaid satchels, if it packs it posts & tracked letters.

The issue is because Etsy has a contract with Australia Post that allows that to happen. I think it's probably the eParcel Contract that means they have to use cubing and add fuel surcharges.

Maybe some day they'll realise people would love to use the integrated shipping labels in Etsy if they get a different contract with Australia Post that matches or betters the MyPost Business prices.

@givemeacrown Thanks for that helpful information. I have been wondering for 3 years whether this could be resolved if the right person at Etsy spoke to the right person at Australia Post. Hopefully there will be a way forward.

I'd rather support my local post office that purchase labels from Etsy. Not only am I able to purchase the tracked letters and such, it's handy to know your PO staff should there be a problem.
