Hey everyone. I had an issue with another seller on having some similar items. My listings were taken down and I appealed it. I believe this issue to be of coincidence. After Etsy put my listings back up, I have noticed a huge change with my shop. I am not making any sells at all but am getting a lot of direct traffic, which is strange. I got another notice from Etsy warning me to only use images I have a license for. I am upset because this is the second time I have been accused of something untrue. I really believe that the other seller I had the issue with in the beginning has a lot to do with the success of my shop. I have worked to hard to just let my shop go. I am a stay at home single mom that was really hoping to find luck on Etsy doing something I enjoy. I am discouraged. Any suggestions or advice?
You're a home-schooling parent. You know those parents are capable of making their own resources or sourcing those resources for FREE. You absolutely need to be offering something totally unique ... made with love doesn't do that (sorry).
I see a lot of colour ... that's expensive to print at home. I would suggest offering a b/w version as well as the colour. Parents can then choose which they want to print out. The bonus would be the activity becomes a colouring activity as well as a learning one.
you mention that you love working with kids. That's great, but if someone is going to take your stuff and use it, what are your qualifications? Merely loving to do it, isn't sufficient...you need to provide educational background. BS in this. MS in that...etc. To reassure folks you know what you are doing.
not sure I'd tell people what design software I'd use. Folks are often very creative and you're giving them the keys to the kingdom, so to speak.
as mentioned multicolor printables require one to have a color printer. And they are expensive to print. Most download shops never think beyond the making...into the printing & using. That needs to be a consideration.
