So, this morning I made a new listing.
At lunchtime, I decided to scroll my shop page, and as I'll often do, make sure all my listings look OK and just overall check everything out.
However, I noticed my new item isn't showing. When I go to sections and change it from "All" to the relevant section I applied the new item to, it's there. When I go to listings from my dashboard, it's there. When I click to view my shop from the seller dashboard it's there.
However, I logged out and got on etsy, came across one of my existing listings, and opened it. Idk about other shops, but im certain this is how a majority of people come to view my shop and my listings. Unfortunately, from there, the new item doesn't show. All of my other listings do, but not the new one.
I opened chat support, simply explained how my new listing is not viewable to buyers. He confirmed the listing is "active and searchable".. great. But buyers aren't typing in my listing titles...he then confirmed that when you go to "most recent" on my sections, it's viewable! Great... but not many people at all are interested in what I made most recently. If I'm lucky enough that they're interested in my work enough that they open my shop from one of my listings, they're almost always just going to browse while it says "All"..... I pointed this out to support and he said "
I mean even when searching the name of the material it's made of, and the item it is, I didn't see it in any of the 25+ pages I scrolled past, despite at the last handful seeing countless items that would hardly even be relevant to that search.
This is ridiculous seller support. Why am I paying such high fees when I make a sale, and paying for listings, when the platform refuses to acknowledge bugs on their site??
I believe Etsy now stores listings on the "cloud", and updates do frequently take much longer to show up than previously. Featured listings are a prime example.
Is it the Sea Wave. Sometimes there is a bit of delay. Just wait a little bit when it happens.
I would not contact Etsy until 24 hours of passed.
