Scam!
Never click on any links like that!
New sellers are sitting-duck targets here, so please read up on scams on Etsy.
I'm sure someone will be along to provide info for you to read.
ETA, expect to get many, many more messages like that; some with verification scams, some of the kind you already got.
Thankyou for your help! Wanted to check and lucky I did
It is a scam. Mark the message as spam and do not reply.
Thanks!
Yes it's a SCAM.
These scammers will want to know how much money you have in your bank account and you need to verify it with a promise they'll return your money.
They won't. It's a scam to scam you out of $100's or $1,000's of dollar.
Etsy does NOT send you a message through Etsy messaging when you get a sale.
It will show up under Orders. If nothing is there, you don't have a sale.
You will get a confirmation email from Etsy notifying you of the sale.
Did you see this info from Etsy below that message you got?
It has to NEVER click on links to take you off Etsy.
"To stay protected, stay on Etsy. Never follow links to other sites, and don’t share contact, account, or financial info with anyone in Messages. Learn how to spot spam."

If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.
Ahh, thankyou so much!!
