I can only see the first 2 lines fully, the third is sliced in half and there's no 'read more' to click. It's the same with any shop I view while on both Chrome and Edge.
@SmudgePlant How were you able to copy it tho? I just tried but it stopped at the third line and started to copy everything below.
Can I ask a favor? Can you remove most of my announcement here. I don't want the link to our other shop appear as a tvp or to get views that'll affect conversion.
@TheVintagePineapple@ChillwolfArt I am on my phone using a mobile browser and I can press on the beginning of the announcement and then drag until it starts to highlight other sections. Then choose copy and paste and everything was there.
@timelapse Good idea! I did the same. I hit edit (to get the whole thing) then copy/pasted it just above my "about" information. I left a couple of spaces between the two.
See, this is why I love the forums. I hadn't noticed this until I saw this thread - so thank you fellow sellers! (There are other things I never notice, or forget, like checking my spam folders for messages, until I come here and see all the things y'all have pointed out)
The announcement cut-off is quite annoying; I have—er, had—a few different sections in my announcement. Some stuff was also in my FAQ but I liked having it in both places, since I figured it made it more likely that customers would find it.
I actually looked up "Shop Announcement" in the Help section to see if they had a limit now.
It says this about announcements:
"Keep your announcement short and sweet. You can add more detailed information to your About section, public profile, shop policies, and item descriptions."
Ugh, another fun useless programmer change (mistake) that makes zero sense to do in the first place. Glad to see they continually keep busy doing nothing productive in any way that's positive.
