Number of reviews will occasionally decrease...why?

Jump to solution

Hi! I've been an Etsy seller for around 14yrs. Over the past couple of years I've noticed the number of reviews (not rating) I have will occasionally go down. For instance the other day I had 2,016 reviews left for my shop and then the next day it went back to 2,015. This has happened more than a couple of times and since I'm obsessed with my reviews I check and see if it was a recent or notable one but it's not. I have no clue what review was removed. Also, I read ALL of my reviews and none of them ever go against Etsy rules and I have never reported them. I just wonder what the cause could be. Do reviews get deleted after so many years? If so I'd love to know more about that. Thanks in advance to anyone with some clues on this. Happy Selling!!

I made exactly the same observation. Is there a plausible reason?
