Is Etsy chat broken? Normally when I click on the chat icon someone answers. Recently (the last 2 times I've sent a question) No one answers at all? Anyone else experiencing this?
Well if it's any consolation they are not answering emails either. I've had one open 16 days now with no reply. Rediculous!

Mines super weird. Normally when I open a chat I have to select options from a drop down box about why I am contacting them. Now I don't its just an open thread from an old chat I had with an agent a few weeks ago. Its like they never closed it...and now everytime I try and reach out I get no response.
That's exactly what I see when I just opened chat, an old thread/contacting them. No options, Definitely weird.
Maybe we are only allowed to use it one time, now?
I just checked it, and it came up for me, with the previous messages still present from the last time I opened "chat" so I presume it is working as it should.
@TheMonogrammedPrep I had to request a call back to end the last chat. The convo remains there but a new chat can begins.
Mine isn’t working as well and hasn’t been for about two weeks.
Same here...its been about 2 weeks . I can see all my old conversations from when I previously reached out to chat. I'm able to type a new question ,but no one answers. Its very frustrating!
If any Etsy Admid are reading this...someone at Etsy got my chat working again. I'm assuming they read what was gonig on, on this thread (thank you)...but it only worked for a VERY short time. The old conversations from the past that used to appear got cleared out and I got ask some really weird questions at the begining of this chat (tax payer ID, last 4 numbers on CC, and last 4 numbers on bank act..WTH??) then I was connected to Bryan. He corresponded once and then never again, so I'm assuming my chat broke again. Is Etsy running "test" on Chat?? For the last 2 weeks it seems like there are a crazy amount of "bugs" with the chat option which is very frustrating when you need help

WTH indeed; this does not sound right! If you wish, it may be a good idea to "at" Admin Herr Moostache.
ETA: From other Threads, it does appear Etsy changed the Chat. Sellers reported not being able to close their Chat (some closed it by clicking an arrow, while others could not).

I remember a while back posting in the forums about chat support asking me for personal info. and the response was that it is common.
I got the request for CC number, and was like....nope!
I've been experiencing this too today. My chat from 2 days ago won't "close out" and I can't generate a new one. Without quoting staff/chat, in brief they did mention that they will have to escalate this issue to support to close out.
If anyone has any other advice to try, I would be super grateful. Thanks
Ours is the same, last chat never closed. Maybe they have done it on purpose so we can’t tell them about all the problems on site. I find the number of glitches pretty unacceptable at the minute. I have a technical issue (showing 1 overdue order) from 2 months ago. We are all paying for such a terrible service, concentrating my efforts on alternatives now. You can only do so much but if things aren’t working it’s out of our hands
I have emailed Etsy about the problem early last week and chat is still broken.
yep ~ I was reluctant to even use the chat for little seems to link up correctly as of late. Trying to resolve a problem seems to create an additional one. rep was nice, but not only was the chat useless, unresolved and confusing, I now have to look at it because it won't clear. Q. I entered the wrong tracking number on 2 orders. This was on Fri. I realized it when checking the status of the delivery on Sunday. The interface wouldn't allow me to edit in the correct tracking number. I sent the correct tracking numbers to the buyer, a link to the usps tracking page ( showing it in transit ) as well a photo of the receipt. I sent the same to etsy in an email. They will not edit in the correct tracking number and I'll now lose my seller star status come Sept.
this is what I was told.
In order to maintain on time shipping score, the tracking details have to update on file at the first attempt that is on or before the Original Ship-by Date. So, even though you update the tracking details after Original Ship-by Date, they won't help you in correcting the on time shipping score.
My advice to myself. Get new glasses.
My advice to you, Don't make ANY mistakes here. There is little recourse.
@KarmaCodeOne: You have 72 hours from the time the order is marked as complete to edit the tracking. Are you perhaps using the app? If yes edit the tracking using a browser - even your mobile one.
Yes and true, you can add in the tracking number by using the tab marked with three little dots to the right. You can enter the correct tracking number under the new package tab. It'll show both tracking numbers...but by changing the tracking number it won't count towards star seller status, only the original ( wrong ) tracking number is calculated. No, I'm not using the App
