(I see this issue being reported but adding my shop to the problem. Cost can be an issue when I have 65 listings going expired and 19 inactive when I did none of this. Just switched the shop to manual instead of auto that I have it on. Just want this reported.)
I've been with Etsy over 12 years and this is a first for my shop. Not sure if you are saying go ahead and renew those listing that got turned to manual renew and then I will not get charged the .20 if within the 4 months or not. Obviously, a glitch. Has Etsy found the root problem or are we going to be looking at this mistake for a while. I've been activated some that went inactive when I didn't inactivate so that's costing me and then I see I now have 65 listings that have gone expired when they were on auto renew but now are switched to manual. I see some of the comments but not sure what it most time and cost effective.
I should probably put this out there as a new message but really don't even know how to do that. Haven't had a problem like this before. Went thru the chat and they have moved it on to a specialist but in the meantime a weekend coming up and a lot of unlisted items.
**Also...a sale just shipped where the customer was not charged the flat fee I put on each order so there is a problem there as well.
This is not a glitch as noted on the other forum thread you posted on.
You have to pay 20 cents to relist those items.
BUT you didn't have to pay months/years of renew fees on those items.
Etsy EXPIRED 7 PAGES OF MY LISTINGS at once. - Welcome to the Etsy Community
Hi all, I’m Amanda and I am a Product Marketing Manager at Etsy. Our Forums Team let us know of your concerns and I’d like to offer some follow up information.
I can confirm that the email is legitimate. We recently uncovered a bug that kept some listings from expiring every four months as they should. Impacted listings were acting as normal otherwise (appearing in search, active, etc), they just were not expiring on the normal schedule. We reached out to impacted sellers today via email to let them know we will manually expire those listings, and that they won’t be charged for the missed renewal fees. To keep your listings active, you can renew your listings ahead of the manual expiration on April 1.
What flat fee?
If you're referring to a handling or packaging fee on calculated shipping, then Etsy stopped those fees from being added on orders on March 19th.
More info on the link below.
But to switch the listing back to auto renew which it was before we have to manually go into each listing, hit auto new again and then the system says Leave page or cancel. Hit cancel the box comes up again and says leave or cancel but allows you to click don't show this and then you hit cancel again and it will finally autorenew as I checked back on the listing. and I checked to make sure I was hit with .20 only once. Quite a production for us. If I just hit renew on the listing it doesn't switch it to auto renew. Kinda foolish to make us go thru this. Very time consuming.
„But to switch the listing back to auto renew which it was before we have to manually go into each listing“
You don’t have to go into each listing to change your renewal preferences.

NO just the shipping I put on many of my signs with a flat shipping fee of $5.99. Never been a problem before but just randomly didn't attach the amount. I don't see any Etsy promotion for it but ...today... we won't charge the customer shipping. Just weird and expensive for us.
I see $20 for shipping not $5.99.
Only on our 5 ft signs. All the rest is $5.99
You aren't looking at all the listings. Those signs that are 5ft long are $89.99 plus $20 shipping.
@GrumpyBearSigns I looked another and the shipping is $4.99. You need to check your shipping profiles.
The only reason we went with the $5.99 was to get the favored search results from Etsy as they promoted that in a message to all of us.
You are correct. I did have 1 sign that was not attached to the shipping profile. For some weird reason that was still in there. I checked all the rest and they are good. I believe I am correct in saying that all is good and most other than the 1 was done as it should be. Still doesn't answer the issue of no shipping attached to the sale.
I did find in quick edit that renewing has the auto-renew checked so was able to quickly renew all 65 listings. Thanks for that short cut. I'll keep an eye on it.
@GrumpyBearSigns "Still doesn't answer the issue of no shipping attached to the sale."
Just a thought. Was it perhaps an Etsy Insider sale? If so, it'll show no shipping was charged to the buyer, but Etsy pays you the shipping fee. You'll see it credited to you at the very bottom of the order, and in your finances.
