Impossible to update description of my products

Hi,

I noticed a few days ago that I'm not able to change the description of my products...

Every other items (tags, title,...) of the product are ok, but not the description.

I click on 'modify', change something in the description (add information per example):

-> if I click on "preview", we can see the change in the preview

-> if I click on "Publish", the change I made doesn't appear and the description is exactly as it was before the change.

I tried with both the old and the new product page. Same result.

The only way for me to change the description is to use the Etsy App, which is clearly not ideal to type text.

Is it only me or somebody else has this issue ?

Do you have an idea what can I do ?

I would sign out and sign in again. I am able to change descriptions with no problem. I use edit. Hopefully resetting things will get rid of any changes that might have gotten set by accident? I'm no IT person but resetting solves a lot!

Thanks for your answer ! unfortunately it didn't solve the issue. 

I just notice that it concern "new" products in my shop ... Old products (more than 1 month) don't have problem with the description, we can change it and see the changed, but for the 4-5 new products I have, it's only on the app

Don't use the app? You can use a browser on your phone?

The issue is not that I don't want to use App, it's just that it's not ideal to me to write description (long text) on a phone. A real keyboard seems better to me for that

J'ai le même problème depuis 3 jours et j'ai tout fait la même chose que vous. Impossible de changer mon texte ou simplement de le corriger même en changeant de navigateur et vidé le cache et cookies. Dès que je clique sur publier les modifications sur nouvelle et ancienne page n'apparaisse pas.

Merci pour votre réponse. C'est rassurant de voir que je ne suis pas le seul là-dedans, mais je suis très curieux de connaitre la raison à ce problème...

Par hasard, est-ce que vous auriez créé les fiches produits en faisant une copie d'une fiche existante ?

Je l'ai fais certaines et j'ai l'impression que celles-là pose problème en particulier.

Si je fait une nouvelle fiche cela fonctionne , mais une fois lancer sur ma boutique , si  je veux corriger le texte alors la il est impossible de changer quand je clique sur publier les modifications. Alors il est impossible de corriger le texte si vous avez fait une faute d'orthographe.

Et oui j'ai essayer sur les fiches déjà existantes et impossible de modifier le texte.

Ok, nous avons donc bien le même problème.

Le plan B est bien d'utiliser l'application. De mon côté cela fonctionne.

C'est ok pour corriger une faute d'orthographe, mais pour rédiger du texte ce n'est vraiment pas idéal.

Je parle de l'application Vendre sur Etsy:

On peut faire de plus en plus de chose sur l'application (je dirais environ 80% de ce que l'on peut faire sur ordi) mais en tout cas, c'est ma seule solution pour ce problème de description.

For those having issues, use the old listing form on a computer,  and the browser/desktop site on mobile  -instead of the app.

Unable to modify description on real time. It's take few hours to be effective.

Very disturbing and not easy to work in theses confitions.

After opening a ticket, Etsy tell me that they know the problem and working hard on it.

Sorry to tell you that this problem is going on for 2+ months already and nothing has changed so far. Hopefully it helps if we alle keep sending  messages to etsy support. (And yes, I've tried anything, old and new form, different laptops, browsers, phones, apps, install, delete etc etc. )

No solution so far indeed. It seems that a lot of people never have this issues, so it seems not to be urgent for Etsy to fix it.

But for people like me (and you) who has it, it's really really annoying ...

It only concerns description.

Photos, title or other fields seems not touched by this issue.

It seems to work for me around 50% of the time when using the app "Sell on Etsy". And about 20% of the time when using incognito mode on my browser ... It can take 10 tries and about 10 minutes to be able to change a description... Try also to clear the cache on the browser. Sometimes after this action, the next update works...

I still have this problem of not being able to edit descriptions in the app. It just freezes and hangs. April 2024 now.. Anyone else?
