Hi Everyone!

Just  posting this here in case you haven't read the my items are not showing up for customers in my store on the app posts.

There is a glitch on the app that from reading posts has been going on for around 2 weeks or so where people are unable to see your listings in the app when they visit your shop. It is worth checking out and then letting Etsy know if it is happening with your shop.

It is not just the "app" it is also happening on Windows 11 PC (Firefox version 131.0.2) as I have seen a few stores that only display a few items but are supposed to have a hundred or a thousand things to sell on their Etsy store.  I know this because I am a return visitor to the same store. It is not happening to all stores so one wonders why Etsy targets certain merchants to diminish value. BTW since merchants pay Etsy to display their products shouldn't the merchant expect a refund for each item not displayed?

That would explain the sudden drop in my sales and the reason they’re not using my ad budget like they used to do.

I don't think there is a link but you could report it to customer service.

The other day (okay it was 1am) I went to one of my competitor's shops to see their new listings only to find the shop... gone. No 'stitch awry' no 404, just... nothing. I jumped on the app and ran a shop search; they came up as a shop but when I clicked on it- blank. White page. They just did not exist. Jumped on erank, yes they're still operating, not on vacation or closed.. but said there were 'no active listings' when she has almost 400.

By the following lunchtime they were back; no idea how long their blip out of reality lasted, but the tin-foil hatter in me wonders if it affected their ranking.

That's crazy, I wonder what is happening with these type of glitches. And if they are being reported it sounds like they are quickly fixed?

I hope the bug gets fixed very soon. My etsy ads and sales seem to have suddenly disappeared. Really after September first.

Happened to my return customer last week (and my best customer) she said one day she could only see a few of my 175 posted listings, a few days later it seemed to be normal.  She does view with her cell phone via the APP, but she stated it only happened with my shop and not her other favorite shops she frequents.  How do you complain about a moving glitch (like a moving target)? I am thankful it righted itself so she could purchase her necklace.

Ahh, that can do it too! Yep, with me, I have to change photos. And not posting new things until I get things to a decent place with the items I have up already.

I just thought people could check to see if the glitch could be the case.

Same here. I've been listing on other platforms because my items are selling there. Used to do better here but not lately. I don't use the app, just a laptop, either safari or chrome and have issues with search all the time. Bots and AI are not helping. Wish sites would go back to real people. smh

Thank You for the Heads Up. I've never used the App, but there are many who do. What I have noticed though, on my desktop computer, Chrome, Windows 10; I will type in certain phrases to find my items. And they will show in search results (or most of them will). Then on another day (like today), I will type in those same phrases, and my items are no where to be found (using the same device, browser). That's also the case with others who have tried to find my items on their device (mobile). And yes, I know we all get different search results.

Could that be the Search AI changing the keywords it picks for the items?

That's not good! I think I remember reading on Etsy that if your  shop is hot and selling things like hot cakes they may temper things so that you can catch up on shipping etc.

Could that be what is happening there?

I have also experienced not being able to find even one of my listings in the search, and other days I find them easily. I haven't looked today, but I think they have hidden my listings again because I have had no activity in it for over 24 hours. I think they have flipped the switch to off.

No, that wasn't the case in this instance. I always take packages to the P.O. the same night or the following, so I never got behind with shipping, nor did orders pile up. I sell at a smaller volume as well. It's just that I do notice the on again/off again in search results when inputting various phrases. There one day, gone the next.

I can tell what is going on Etsy is trying to emulate amazon. Amazon only shows a few hundred listings at a time and rotates sellers. They do this to force people to spend money on ads. Sponsored ads get first placement on Amazon.
