It happens to me all the time when I dispatch the orders with courier of post services (DPD ,GLS,DNL,TNT etc). I have the tracking number,I confirm the order with this info but ALL THE TIME it shows pre -transit,even when the cluent gets the order it shows pre-transit. Then I loose my 5star level. Now ir happens the same,I lost my stars because my orders show pre-transit but actually they are on the way.
What is the reason of this?
Do you choose the correct carrier when you mark as complete, and then enter the tracking number, and make sure the carrier doesn't change to something else?
Go back into the order, and double check the carrier.
It also needs to be entered before the ship by date.
What does the CSV actually say the reason is, it could be one of three different things
Although it has not happened in the past 3 months, before it was happening all the time when using European postal services.
I would select the carrier, enter the tracking number and it would go into transit once I dropped the parcel off and scan it or remain in pre-transit. Within 12-24 hours it would automatically change the carrier (mostly happened with DHL & PostNL) so I would have to go in and edit the tracking back to the carrier I initially selected. It never changed a 2nd time on the orders in question.
This glitch went on for several years, so it is best to double check the tracking on your dashboard within 12-24 hours from entering the information and if anything is not right either edit it, or contact Etsy with the order number and tracking link to the couriers website so that they can manually correct it for you.
