I realize I'm not the first to have a new shop suspended but I'm at my wits end. I started my first shop over 2 months ago selling POD items that I designed myself. I decided to branch out to digital downloads (forms, invitations, etc) but within a day after opening my new shop, it was suspended without warning or email notification. I submitted an appeal online on Feb 20th and am still waiting to be reactivated. Tomorrow will be day 10.
I followed Etsy's guidelines on opening a second shop and do not believe I have violated any policies or terms of service. I disclosed the existence of each of my stores in the public profile per Etsy's policy. I uploaded one listing in the new shop as a placeholder so it is not an issue of copyright/intellectual property infringement. I don't know what else I could've done to prevent this. I thought verifying one's banking info and uploading a driver license would've been sufficient to prove that I am a legitimate seller and not a bot. I'm very frustrated. I just want to make a living!
Is there any other recourse other than just waiting it out?
Thanks for listening!
Does your new shop have anything in it that this shop has?
Did you link the 2 shops so the new one shows in this shop?
Was all the information, credit card & ID correct?
These are often where the problem so check them first.
Hope you get it fixed.
I don’t see any production partner in this shop so it can get confusing when you show you are from California but ship from other states also. Make sure shops have correct production partner and policies.
Hello can I learn that how can we link the 2 stores please ? I couldn't understand that.
@AlluringLoveJewelry You need to disclose both shops. Just put in your public profile in each shop that you have a second shop and list the name.
Do you mean in the announcement part ? Where is public profile part ?
Do you mean announcement part ? Or where is the public profile please ?
@AlluringLoveJewelry Click on your picture in your shop. It takes you to your public profile. Add it to the about section. Always best to start a new thread for questions, as this one is the OP's and it gets confusing.
Yes it must be new thread, the subject was interesting so I wrote here..Thank you very much for helpful info, appreciate that
Thank you for your feedback! I am located in California but use several print partners who are located elsewhere. I do disclose that I have a production partners. However, Etsy gives the option of not revealing the names and using something generic such as "A Print Shop."
What did you put as a placeholder? Was it an item for sale? All listings need to be available. Last question, was this placeholder an item in your current shop? You cannot have duplicate items between shops. Also, double check your email and spam folders. It could be ID verification.
The placeholder was just a random image I had created myself. I immediately deactivated the listing once the shop was officially open. This is what I did when I opened my first shop.
I checked my spam folders and did not see anything about incomplete ID or banking verifications.
(Off topic) On your current shop, you have the "Aquarius" picture on the Cancer and Aries shirts.
Omg! Thanks for letting me know! Will fix when I get off work
UPDATE: My shop was reinstated yesterday. No email notification or anything. It was just suddenly back up.
does the suspension of the second shop affected the first shop ( leaded to the suspension of the both shops?)
would like to know this as well
I have a similar problem - I have a shop of temporary tattoos but I want to open 1-2 more for specific products made with POD, I couldn't even complete the registration of the second one (I was on the step with 2FA verification) and the shop was suspended - the item that put as a product was a pajama made with POD, with my design, with mentioning POD partner. My appeals are always declined and I have no idea what do I do wrong.
@PoppycockTees: "... not an issue of copyright/intellectual property infringement." Looking at the items in your reviews you ARE technically violating trademark rights. https://www.icsid.org/uncategorized/can-i-use-national-park-names-in-products/
