Hello Etsy community. I have a shop where i sell euro coins.
So, I see people here are selling single euro coins for over 1000$.
But when i try to list a euro coin for over 1000$ Etsy removes that listing.
If i understand correctly, that means single coin currency listing with over 1000$ price can't be listed.
But why then these listings exist on Etsy? Why other people can post them without being blocked afterwards?

And in case you don't read it
It is most likely because you have listed it for more than $1000.

"Collectible postage or currency that priced at less than $1,000 are allowed unless subject to legal or other restrictions."
First, it's against the rules to call out the other shops. You need to remove the links to the other shops listings.
Just because they are getting away with it doesn't somehow make the rules not applicable to you. I have theories as to why their listings are not getting removed immediately, but not going to share as it could give you ideas on how to get around that rule in your listings.

That sounds like what Etsy does when they put a shop on reserves - if they told them what the infractions are exactly, then maybe only rule-dodging corrections would be made, and not actual compliance with the rules.
That's fairly accurate, it does sound like their logic, just the opposite (not telling someone how to get away with something vs not telling them what they've done wrong to get in trouble). I'm still not going to share how I believe the other shops may be skirting around the rules, because if I'm right I'm not trying to help someone get around the rules.
@RealPriceRareCoins: It is hard to speculate on why a particular listing was deactivated but the trigger may be more complex than a single factor, i.e. coin over $1000. Perhaps shop age, sales volume, shop quality score come into play, perhaps not. It is almost futile to try and guess the exact reason for a deactivation. Since Etsy is now also factoring descriptions in search, they along with titles, tags, and materials (and possibly even alt tags if you are using them) are all probably being checked. And the bots are also "reading" images.
Without getting into a discussion of what is fair or right or if your listing should be deactivated, the fact that you have been selling something for years only means that the bots have been updated. If there are other shops selling similar items it only means that they have not been caught yet or they do not have all of the triggers that caught you. The bots seem to check when a listing is created, renewed and / or edited.
You do not want to list anything over $250.00. Seller protection disappears after that. Don't worry about other shops.

Can you list a SET of coins for over a $1000 ?
@JDsCardsCoins I think listing actual currency as handmade is going to be your biggest problem. Counterfeit anything is against the law but counterfeit money is probably going to result in actual jail time.
My coins are NOT counterfeit.
Your dollar bills from 2013 and 2017 are listed as handmade because that's the only category that would allow you to list them here. That is because they don't belong on this site at this time.
You should not have any currency that is newer than 2003 listed in your shop, otherwise it is considered counterfeit.
Unlike some that believe there is a category for collectibles, there is not. Every item listed here either needs to be handmade, vintage, or a supply. Your newer bills do not fit into any of those categories.
Bring it up with Etsy. All of us coin ppl are following the rules they made. Doesn't make us criminals.
Done. Your 'handmade' dollars and shop have been reported to Etsy for selling counterfeit currency.
You are not following the rules when you list currency that is newer than 2003. You need to list that somewhere else. There are plenty of other sites that don't require your items to be either handmade, vintage or a supply, that is what is supposed to make Etsy special.
