I cant deactivate promo code

I accidentally set up a code with one click regarding abandoned cart that I wasnt ready to set and now I cant remove it and it frustrates and stresses me as the code is wrong and I dont want to have the discount on my whole store. I tried to contact etsy support center through the chat and it feels like it is down as I dont get any new responses. I only see old conversations and the chat is just open without anything happening. I need this issue to be fixed as soon as possible.

I contacted Etsy regarding this issue. I was told that Its an ongoing issue and they are working to resolve it.

Just adding to the pile here, I've had a promo code that's been ongoing for about 3 years now, which I found out yesterday had stopped working when a returning customer tried to use it. Thought I might have accidentally deactivated it when setting up Easter offers, but still showing as active, with no way to deactivate and start from scratch. Similar to a few folk here, I can deactivate all other codes, no problem, but the one most people are likely to use is broken!

Exact same situation. My 2 year old code stopped working so I went to deactivate and no deactivation button, but there are on my other promo codes! I'm frustrated as I have this printed on my business cards.

I had a buyer message me saying her code is invalid. I cannot deactivate it, as there are no deactivation buttons, but there are on some other promo codes. I"m frustrated as I have this code printed on my business cards!

The abandoned cart and thank you coupons should have a "stop sending offers" button, but no "deactivate" button.  The favorite coupon should have a "deactivate" and a "stop sending offers" button.  Any coupon you personally created should have a "deactivate code" button  and sales  should have an "end sale early" button.

The system worked acceptably since the fall of 2017 when Etsy first allowed sales.  I sure wish they had left things the way they were.  Be careful what you wish for.  It will most likely bite you in the butt.

me too, all my promo codes have no option to remove/delete. Have spoken to a human via etsy chat and they have said its an ongoing issue and will pass information to etsy engineers! hopefully it is sorted soon as cant really afford to lose 10% of sales atm

l think all of us who are losing money to the ineptitude or indifference indicated by this situation should pile on the "likes" for every pertinant comment on the subject. Etsy is not taking this seriously.

Same here. My question is what if where having a sale like 20% off. Can the coupon code also be used on top of the sale? Maybe i should cancel sales until this is fixed. I don't think we can add a disclaimer : No coupon for sale items?

@DebbieCrochets: Except for a free shipping / discount combination, Etsy does not stack coupons so only one can be applied at a time.

D'après mon expérience deux code promo ne peuvent pas être cumulé pour un achat.

C'est soit la réduction, soit le code panier abandonné ou code remerciement.

J'ai déjà eu deux clients qui m'ont fait savoir qu'ils pouvait pas appliquer les deux code. Je leur ai expliqué que c'était l'un ou l'autre. 

Ils ont fini par commander avec le code panier abandonné.

l am betting nobody has. This is pushing people out of Etsy. Do they care, and if you think so, how can you tell?

I was able to "stop sending" my abandoned cart and favorites coupons a few days ago. I just checked my coupons and the abandoned cart coupon is active again with no end date. At least one coupon has been sent out this month (today is April 2 so it was sent yesterday or today). Etsy also has a notification in my Sales and Discounts section encouraging me to set up an abandoned cart coupon, even though the one I tried to stop has been reactivated.

I contacted Etsy support yesterday and they said they would escalate it and I would be contacted by email but I haven't heard anything back.

Etsy has gone so downhill. I'm deleting mine after this incident. There are so many better ways and places that don't have all of these issues. I'm done lol.

May l ask what those alternatives are? l would appreciate the advice. Quite aside from the damage this particular situation is doing to me, l do not trust Etsy not to pull another stunt like it whenever the whim bites.

@BruenPottery Ebay.  It many ways it sucks, but at least it sucks competently and when it doesn't there is customer service on tap, that actually fix things.
