I wanted to change the processing time for my shop, so I went into the shipping profiles.
I can't actually update them, though. More time, less time, clicking the "Save profile (Affects X listings)" button doesn't do anything. I thought maybe it was a browser issue, but it's happening equally across all browsers.
It's not just processing time, I can't make any changes and save them.
I've figured out a work around where I can delete my zip code and re-enter it, then it will accept the changes but one profile will not change no matter what I do.
Needless to say, I don't wanna get dinged for exceeding my handling time. But I've already spent way more time than I would have liked troubleshooting this bug, and I'm not changing my schedule to appease a broken button.
This method worked for all of my profiles except for one.
That profile had a shipping method that Etsy doesn't use or changed, because one of the dropdown boxes was now empty. After deleting that shipping method from the profile the above technique worked.

All my items are in shipping profiles. I wanted to change the shipping profile to a different profile on some of my items, which would change the price of shipping. That's what I wanted to do. It took forever to update. I had to check and check and check to make sure the new profile/price took. So maybe changing the processing time has a lag too. This was on Sunday.
I am having that trouble as well. Gave up for now - have other things to do like re-warping my loom!
How many items are attached to that profile? Perhaps it would be easier to create a new profile, then go to the Listings Manager to bulk edit & change the profile on select products?
I tried creating a new profile but that didn't work. Anyway, I checked a few minutes ago and it looks like the new shipping profile kicked in. Apparently, it was just a delay.

This method works. I've used it for a while after trial and error after a promised escalation callback, three emails waited for, and almost two hours on the phone.
I agree about the dings. Etsy Service told me that once a case is filed for the issue, I'm not held accountable for not updating the shipping time, but I still feel uneasy about that. It could go another way if you missed the ship date. I hope this method works for others. It is so simple!

I run into the same Problem. Not being able to save the updated 'processing time' in some of my shipping profiles.
Solution: Change the processing time and then refill the 'origin postal code'.
Interesting part is that I also thought that I might be able to solve it by using another browser.
Etsy engineers: This seems a bug. If the 'origin postal code' will turn red or something else, then the user would know that something has to be changed there. In my case nothing happened, the profile just did not want to be saved.
I was not able to figure out why this problem appeared only in some of my shipping profiles and not in all.
I just had this problem!
Listing was free shipping and I wanted to go to paid. It would not update on public listing!
after reading the thread I edited my ship profile
I changed process time and deleted zip and reentered it
Now public listing is correct
