Hi there, I'm very thankful that Etsy has added Ground Advantage to shipping profile options, and I've finally updated my shipping profiles. But my "flat rate" profile can't be edited, and it shows "update required" on all the listings related to this shipping profile. I don't understand why.
My flat rate profile is for the orders that ship with flat mailer with USPS 1st class, no real tracking. It's not Ground Advantage. I have many listings under this shipping profile, so hope I can be able to edit it soon.
@HeartStreet - I always used calculated shipping, but I think even for a flat-rate cost profile you still need to choose a class of service.
Etsy now shows this:
"USPS First-Class Mail An affordable way to send lightweight envelopes using USPS shipping labels or stamps."
You may have first class included in the profile, but due to the changes first class will now only be for letters/flats. For once Etsy did not want to assume that they could automatically apply first class so they've 'disabled' it?
If you can't even edit it though, possibly consider creating an entirely new profile & apply that one to your listings?
Though maybe ease into changing the listings. With all the recent changes & glitches putting too much faith in bulk edit might not be a good thing to do.

thank you so much!
I have done everything I could find to create a first class letter/flat profile on Etsy and can not get it to work as described.
I make a listing and enter the weight but when I get to height No way to enter 1/4 or .25 for calculated shipping. It just comes up First class. Even have the letter in the profile checked still first class. Somebody please help spent hours trying to figurte this out and all of the suggestions on google do not work!
The FAQ on Etsy is of no help. Says go to shipping options, go there and no such thing custom shipping options.
