How to upload videos on Etsy

I've been trying to upload a video onto one of my listings as I've heard that listing with videos are more likely to get seen. So I made a little recording of myself creating my digital piece. When I first tried uploading it, it said the video was too wide and to crop it to a square. So I did just that and tried reuploading it again. Still did not work and did not give a reason why, but I assumed the video might have been too long (I think that max is 15 seconds) so I trimmed it down to 15 second and tried a third time. Still won't work and the same as before, doesn't even come up with an error message explaining why. It just goes blank again, but with a red border around the square. I tried asking reddit for some help, but no one responded, so I'm back here.

Has anyone else had this problem? Btw, my video is 31 FPS whereas I think the video on Etsy has to be 30FPS. Could this be the problem?

Thanks!

Re: How to upload videos on Etsy

I can tell what works for me, and I've been posting videos with all my listings since it became available. They're not Hollywood quality, but they do the job.

I use Movie Maker (free) to edit

I always keep it at 14 seconds or less. 15 seconds was a problem.

Save as an MP4

I use a d o b e  e x p r e s s FREE video cropper to make them look nice.

If I can be of additional help, let me know.

Helpful. I'll see if I can cut it down to 14 or less. Thanks!

Re: How to upload videos on Etsy

Just cut my video down to 12 seconds and... surprise surprise. Still didn't work. Starting to think it's etsy and not me.
