How to make a listing "inactive"

I have sold a piece of inventory to a neighbor and need to take it out of my Etsy shop as I did not sell it through Etsy- but I cannot find where to delete the listing.

Would love some insight.

Click on the listing and delete or deactivate.

Go to Listings, click on the little arrow (bottom right hand side).  Drop down menus allows you to deactivate or delete.

Have you tried searching the Help Center? It has tons of helpful information and instructions for most things etsy. Bonus that it also has a searchable database. Simple search for deactivate listings gave this as the first result
