Hello All: I have noticed lately that all of my items in my shop have been changed to Auto Renew. Some Items, I only offer them during specific times of the year. By Etsy Auto Renew my stuff, I have to survey all of my items to make sure they are on Manual Renew. Why is this happening?

When you renew something, it automatically changes the renewal from manual to auto. You have to manually go in and change this back to manual. Also, if you have a quantity greater than 1, it will automatically auto renew, even if it is on manual, as manual only pertains to listings that have expired without selling after 4 months.
"I have to survey all of my items to make sure they are on Manual Renew." Yes, you need to keep an eye on your listings and adjust the renewal setting as necessary. Etsy wants you to auto-renew, since it's better for them. Just like any program they implement they will automatically opt you in until you manually opt out. They do what's best for them, you need to focus on doing what's best for you.

Re: How to Stop Etsy from Auto Renew my Shop Inventory
If you have multiples of the photos, for example, and one sells, the listing will auto renew until either they all sell or the 4 month limit was reached.
Fees and Listing Multiple Quantities – Etsy Help
''What if I list a quantity of three bowls photos and I only sell one before the listing expires?
You’ll be charged $0.20 USD for the listing. When the item sells, the listing will automatically renew because you've still got two left. You'll be charged an additional $0.20 USD auto-renewal fee so that the listing remains for sale in your shop.''
If you want to offer them seasonally, you'll have to adjust the listing's quantity or deactivate it until you're ready to relist it.

Re: How to Stop Etsy from Auto Renew my Shop Inventory
Set everything to manual renew.
And if you do not want Etsy to auto renew when someone purchases one of them, you will have to set your quantity to 1 every time you list.

Re: How to Stop Etsy from Auto Renew my Shop Inventory
@CreativePhotoProducts These directions are for a browser. Go to your Listings Manager. Click the box to the left of Renew. This will select the 40 listings on that screen. Then click the Editing Options button; this shows a menu where you need to choose "Change Renewal Options." Then you choose Manual. This will change all of the checked (selected) items to manual renewal. If you have multiple pages in your listings manager, I think you'll need to do each page (40 listings) at a time.
If I've misunderstood and it's renewing automatically because you have a multiple quantity, you'll need to change the quantity to 1.

fyi - you can also easily batch update multiple listings at a time on your Listings page to change them from "auto-renew" to "Expires [date]" - just check all of the listings that say "auto renew" (add a checkmark to each), then click on "editing options" and then "change renewal options".

Re: How to Stop Etsy from Auto Renew my Shop Inventory
@CreativePhotoProducts @PrairiePrimitives gave you the correct answer. Another thing you can do is, if you renew an item, scroll down a bit and untick the box that's ticked for automatically renewing.
