How do I remove a "saved" message to buyer?

A few years back, I'd sent a message via the "message to buyer" field on an order, some reason it has saved this message, and everytime I go to submit an order as completed, enter the tracking number, it'll have that same message in that box which I then have to clear out as it's not applicable. How do I remove this and keep it from happening, it's annoying.

Are you talking about when you're sending out a shipping notification?

Yes, on the shipping notifications, mine always has this default message that applied in a single instance that I have to remove and I'm pretty tired of having to do so.

@ErwinKnives  Hi, Go to your Shop Manager, Settings (Left Column) > Options > Info & Appearance.  Message to Buyers is at the bottom.  Don't forget to Save.  Hope this helps.

To add; if you mean the Message you send after Marking Order Complete and entering Tracking No., I type a different one each time.  I'll say something like, "Tracking for Name/s". I've never created a snippet for this Message because the Names of items always vary.

This is my problem as well. It's not the message in the standard Message to Buyer, it's an additional one that I put on one time and now it prints on everything.

If you figure this out, let me know! 

My message always defaults to the first message I used years back. It starts with "Hello, (customer name)..." so I am constantly worried I accidentally send it out! 

No matter how many times I try and save a new default, an empty default, delete it. It returns. Every. Single. Time.

Mine too and sometimes I remember to type a new message but if I don't, that ancient message is used.

i've only been able to change it from an open (unshipped) order.

here's where:

click Get Shipping Label little truck icon

in the top right corner is Note To Buyer

click the three vertical these things .__

now from here you can create a note, delete an old one, set one as default, etc.

I'm not sure if it can be actually deleted entirely though.
