Help me figure out why my listing keeps getting auto-deactivated

My listing keeps getting auto deactivated and I'm getting no email explaining why.  I've gone through and can't figure out what the trigger word is for a listing of 25 vintage charms. I'm going to copy/paste what the current listing information is so if you could please tell me what word is getting flagged, I'd very appreciate it, spent over an hour trying to figure it out.

Title: CHOICE Vintage Sterling Bracelet Charm, Most are Movables, Musical Bell, Cuckoo Clock, Noahs Arc, Lobster Trap, Egg with Chick

Re: Draft Disappeared after publishing

give it a few minutes and then look again.

I notice when I renew a sold out listing, or similar, I go to my shop front page and it isn't there.

but about 10 minutes later it is.

Re: Draft Disappeared after publishing

I found it in deactivated but can't for the life or me figure out what word is flagging it, so frustrating.

Re: Help me figure out why my listing keeps getting auto-deactivated

@RibbonsEdge: While it seems that the bots are looking for trigger words with no consideration for context, we do not know what combination of possibly multiple factors constitute the trigger that flagged your listing. Since Etsy is now also factoring descriptions in search, they along with titles, tags, and materials (and possibly even alt tags if you are using them) are all probably being checked. And the bots are also "reading" images.

A poorly trained bot may be thinking you are selling live animals or baby toys, or it may be some combination of words that is not at all obvious to the rest of us.

Unfortunately, based on other posts in this forum, it seems safe to infer that whoever is responsible for training the bots about their false positives is behind schedule.

Re: Help me figure out why my listing keeps getting auto-deactivated

"13. Small Terrier Dog"

It may be automatically removed because they think you are trying to sell a live dog, but if that's the case it would be reinstated once a person reviews it. That's the only thing that stood out to me as a possiblity.

In the same vein, lobster loose in trap could possibly be an issue.

Maybe "baby" and "dangles" in the same sentence too.

Re: Help me figure out why my listing keeps getting auto-deactivated

I think it has to do with Baby in High Chair. I’m sorry this is happening.

Re: Help me figure out why my listing keeps getting auto-deactivated

It needs to be reviewed by Etsy, it's not expected to be immediately reactivated, even if you remove whatever is flagging the removal in the first place.

Deactivation may happen automatically when something is flagged, but reactivation is not automatic.

Re: Help me figure out why my listing keeps getting auto-deactivated

I would not keep editing and trying again, because that's a lot of deactivations, which I'm not sure but they may count against you. I had a cross made by a Native American artist who came from the town by the name of Cuba, in the US state of NM. I tend to try to write about the artists who make the vintage pieces I sell, if I can find information. It never dawned on me that they'd deactivate a piece made by someone who was born in NM, but when I went to chat to ask about the listing, I got an email from the person reviewing it, and she wanted me to clarify the country of origin. That's when I realized what the problem was. I have two pieces by this artist, and now both read that he was born in a village in NM, and I will not make the mistake of having that one word in the description. But anyhow, the point is, the listing will at some point get reviewed by a human.

I've "heard" that you should delete the listing completely and start with a fresh one.  So I've "heard".

Re: Help me figure out why my listing keeps getting auto-deactivated

I've heard they shouldn't do anything until Etsy reviews it. If they are just guessing at what is flagging the item and not actually taking care of the problem (whatever that may be, everything so far are only guesses) then it will continue to be removed and accrue more strikes against the shop.

Re: Help me figure out why my listing keeps getting auto-deactivated

@TREEandCOW

Not a good idea.  If there is something there that is truly prohibited then attempting to activate can lead to undesireable consequences.

Etsy can decide to remove the shop if they feel this is abuse of their system.

Re: Help me figure out why my listing keeps getting auto-deactivated

Perhaps Etsy thinks you are selling both "animals" & "babies", obviously you are not!  However because of recent issues / lawsuit with beads on baby teething rings, perhaps the dangling baby charms are the issue?  The listing may need to be rewritten differently to account for any "prohibited items" Etsy may think you are selling.  Good luck, I hope you find an amicable solution!

Re: Help me figure out why my listing keeps getting auto-deactivated

It could also be the "hope chest". Many Lane chests are banned because children kept getting caught.

I would make a new listing and be less descriptive in each instance mentioned in these responses

The only thing I see wrong in the listing is the spelling of Noah's Ark.  It isn't Arc.

I think it's "blades". I'm sorry it's happening to you, too.

Re: Help me figure out why my listing keeps getting auto-deactivated

Frankly if this continually gets deactivated, I would remove the listing from the shop and sell elsewhere or use the components for other listings.

The words like lobster and baby can be the issue.  It could be hope chest or blades.  Or it could be the silver content.
