Etsy keeps saying the message I did not respond to was a message from me to my customer ( they sent me the link) & it was not even a new thread! I answered her first message within 24 hours ( and all of her others) It also says the message was from "Ren" and not this customer or me! "Ren" is from Etsy, "Ren" had sent me a test message because I am not getting my notifications, I received an email from "Ren" but never got any notification or message on my etsy dashboard. No one here on Etsy wants to take the time to actually read and help me! Etsy keeps blowing me off tells me to post here.
1) will they ever fix my notification problem?
2) why am I penalized for this etsy glitch????
I got the email but never got the message.
Now I the customer who is linked to Ren's message is saying she never got notifications of my messages! How can I complete a custom job when customers are not getting my messages! I had someone else tell me this also but I didn't believe them! And yes, I did answer her first message and all of her others on time!!! AND STILL NO ETSY HELP!!!
I feel badly for you. And helpless re: suggestions which may assist w/ your problem (not Boo-Hooing for me); you are the one still needing help.
ETA: I'm also confused re: some things. But can only imagine how you feel.
@ChillwolfArt Too confusing for Etsy help too but I finally got on chat and they say they are escalating the case. Hopefully I will hear back from them!

Sellers, individually are not important. Etsy will just drop the ball. And what is our ultimate recourse? Leave? Okay. In a word...'churn'. Sellers come and go.
Unfortunately their customer service is simply not the standard they expect us to meet.
Not fair, since I do not get many messages,it looks like I will be dinged for next month also for that test message Etsy sent me but never received.
Yup dinged again this month because of Etsy's test message! This is totally unfair! Etsy you need to fix the problem!!!
