Etsy keeps saying the message I did not respond to was a message from me to my customer ( they sent me the link) & it was not even a new thread! I answered her first message within 24 hours ( and all of her others) It also says the message was from "Ren" and not this customer or me! "Ren" is from Etsy, "Ren" had sent me a test message because I am not getting my notifications, I received an email from "Ren" but never got any notification or message on my etsy dashboard. No one here on Etsy wants to take the time to actually read and help me! Etsy keeps blowing me off tells me to post here.

seems they are as short staffed as everyone else in the world is, i wouldn’t count on a fix anytime soon.

many threads are created on this very question. etsy support tells folks they can do nothing to “fix” a mis-calculation for the star seller thing. the good news is, buyers aren’t even aware of the program, much less care. personally, i think the entire program was rolled out to distract sellers from the 30 % fee increase. just my .02$
it sounds like you are super frustrated with support (or lack thereof) and i don’t blame you one bit, i think we are all a bit fed up.

if you do email them you *should* get an automated reply and once you do, you must reply to that email above the line of asterisks that their automated best guess solutions did not work. all you have to say is something like “i still need help” send the reply, and it should stay active.

You say Etsy sent you the link? Did you try downloading the data and seeing the info there? Maybe they sent you the wrong link?
The message in question is from Ren, I never received any message from Ren although I got an email. When I click on the on the link from "Ren" it is a message I sent to a customer! All of the messages from that customer were answered on time!
Did you download the message csv file? It will tell you exactly which message was missed and give you a link to the missed message.

I also lost star seller status because of a glitch with messages (different issue). I used the chat forum. I nicely debated the answer and was told if I continued to have issues to post on the forum. Soooooo.....
Yes, this is true. You can post just as you did now (re: your experience w/Chat). Also you didn't post your Chat Message Verbatim (hard to do anyway; it doesn't come in an Email you can copy/paste).
What Chat basically stated was, if you need further assistance w/ S Seller issues (even after debating the issue, or re: SS Metrics in general), post on the Forum (where it is mainly Sellers helping each other). So even if they are aware of SS Metrics glitches, the Metrics were put into place anyway, I'm sorry to say.

Maybe one of the people running their IG page will take pity on you and get your problem moved to the right department. Message them.

Sorry, but they told me to post here, they keep saying Ren is not from Etsy & I had to prove it! How can I prove it that it was Etsy who sent the message from Ren if they will not help me in "help" and told me to post here????

Last Fall I received a Message fr. someone who did not appear to be an Etsy Seller (something re: joining a group interested in my items. Not the same as joining a Team).
Can't remember for certain, but I believe I said "Thanks anyway", then Marked it as Spam (or just Marked it as Spam). *I wouldn't do it to another Seller. But I don't know who this was from.
