I need some help and advice. I had a hat listed for $38.00 in my shop and I just got a notification saying I made my first sale and I looked and it said I was paid $0.38!!! What in the world do I do? I messaged the buyer and told them I was so sorry and I didn’t know what had happened and asked if I can give them a full refund. Was that the right thing to do? If they don’t reply to me can I still just issue a refund? Please give advice

Re: HELP !
Look at your shop payment account to see a breakdown of your debits and credits. Have you been paying for Ads?
Be sure to add policies to your shop for your protection and your buyers protection.

Re: HELP !
I would cancel and issue a refund immediately.
I'm sure they knew they weren't going to get a hat for 38 cents.

Re: HELP !
Scratch that, you listed it at 38c not $38.

Re: HELP !
I looked at your listing, and the price was .38. Sellers on ebay do it all the time, though I never understand why.

Re: HELP !
Interesting story and the same happened in my store few days ago - item listed for 80 was sold for 8
If course , I refund and cancel but the question remains - why it happened

Re: HELP !
You actually made 0.18 (-0.20 for listing). Congratulations!
Just politely explain that you made an error in price by listing for 0.38 instead of 38.00. Cancel, relist, and let the buyer know s/he is welcome to repurchase. Why would anyone buy it for .38 and not think it's an error!?
Edit: you don't need buyer's permission to cancel, just an explanation why. (All fees get refunded when you cancel an order).

Re: HELP !
Don't sweat it. We all make mistakes when we start out. You can cancel an order for any reason - and I think this is a good reason, lol. When you CANCEL (don't just refund, do one step canceling on the computer), just state that there was a pricing glitch and you are unable to offer product and shipping for that price. I am sure the buyer will understand. Personally, I would never buy a product at that price, I would message the seller because it is obviously a mistake. (I think the person is kinda a jerk for trying!)

Re: HELP !
Don't forget to relist the item with the correct price.
Maybe you could send your buyer a 10% off voucher code by way of an apology? I dunno if it would help or if that would even be appropriate.

Re: HELP !
My first dress sold for $2.00 instead of $20.00. This was 9 or 10 years ago and I still remember it. I shipped it and learned to double check everything.

Re: HELP !
I was shopping once and saw a seller obviously made a mistake when pricing. I messaged her to let her know. This buyer absolutely knew a hat was not going for .38 cents! Just let them know you made a mistake.
Good luck.
