Ghost notifications from new app (Android phone)?

Several times now, I have gotten a notification that shows me a 'new' message which was actually received before, hours ago and two times now, I got a notification of a 'cha-ching', a new order which turned out to be an order which also had come in already, hours before. Not the worst thing in the world to happen, but it is a bit annoying.

I am using an up-to-date android phone. Anyone else having issues of this nature with the new seller app?

My android tells me I have 6 unanswered messages. 

I don't.

And it's told me that for months and months now.

I don't think it's anything to do with your phone it can only relay what it receives. There were other threads like this one yesterday.

Thanks, I had a quick look but could not find anything. Good to know that (as expected), it is not on my side. Not any less annoying though

There are a number of threads reporting similar issues. The consensus seems to be to manage messages and orders via a browser not the app until this is fixed.

I am unable to make the new app appear on my phone screen.  I have to go to settings and find it every time I want to use it.  I also find some of the apps I kept on my phone desktop are no longer there and others are being duplicated.  It is a mess.

@simpletreasures55: Your situation sounds like it is more likely an issue with your phone than Etsy.

Just here to say "same." It shows me that I have a notification from Etsy, but not if it's an order, a review or what. I still have the old app, so I can see what they are. Anyone know how long we can just use the old one? Are there plans to sunset it?

I have an issue with my Etsy app (both old and new) showing I have an unanswered message, but I have looked through my messages and cannot find any that are unanswered.  I have reached out to Etsy for help several times but not received an answer.  The tracking for completed orders does not work on the new Etsy app either.  I did read that we can use the old app till the end of the year so I hope they can figure out the bugs on the new app.

Looks like there’s a problem with new app regardless of which phone. I’ve just shared my link to a big group, my views and visits of course are high on old app while on new it’s stuck at 1 view and 1 visit. I’ve been checking for a few hours now and it just is not updating.
