I've read the other threads here so posting in hopes that I'll get some help. My shop, like so many others, was forced into vacation mode by Etsy. I can't believe they can do this. Currently, the money I make from my shop goes to help our daughter pay her first year college tuition and my shop has been in a forced vacation mode for three days. On Monday morning, my shop was open and functioning. I received the reminder email to update my information (which I still had 5 days to do) and as soon as I entered it, my shop was placed on vacation mode. I received an email thanking me for updating my information AND a checkmark on my shop dashboard saying updates were complete. Of course, I reached out via email support immediately and only get messages from bots sending me links to things I've already done. Someone mentioned a call back support number in one of their posts - if anyone see this and can share that number I'd be greatly appreciative. I've been on here since 2011 and it's just so disheartening that they treat their sellers this way.
Hello,
The ETA for response varies on a case-by-case basis, and a separate team is handling the ticket you recently filed. Any further communication on the matter, if applicable, will only occur directly with you, and via email.
As support requests are handled privately, we're now closing this thread.
You need to reply to the bot email. It seems that something didn't quite add up when you confirmed your details. Everything has to match exactly with the info you provided when you set up.
Hopefully someone will send you the link to Etsy's number - don't Google the support number as you will end up speaking with scammers who masquerade as Etsy support!
Thanks for the support! I appreciate you. I did respond to the email, but am currently still stuck in the support loop. Hopefully it will get resolved soon!
Same here, I have two shops with the same tax information. I was able to verify the first shop as soon as the message appeared in the dashboard. When I saw the message asking for verification on the second shop filled the same information but the shop got into forced vacation mode.
I wrote to Etsy support with no answer an all and I don't have an email regarding the verification or vacation mode!
I don't really know how can we fix this?
I'm so sorry this happened to you as well! I've been sick about it as this is not a side gig for me and money my family relies on. Follow the thread - maybe we'll get the magical phone number!
Try filing an appeal. I don't know if it will help, but who knows anything anymore?

Oh thank you! I'll give that a try. Thanks for reaching out!
Tried doing that as well, it ends up as a support request with no answer so far 19 hours ago
Yes, apparently Etsy forcing you into vacation mode with zero explanation doesn't qualify as a reason to make an appeal. I'm so tired of doing all the things they tell me to do and then being punished as a result.
I know exactly how you feel!
I wish there was just some sort of communication and real support!
Hopefully we will find a solution.
