Hello , can someone please help me get in contact with etsy . I’ve been put on force vacation mode . I’ve shipped out all my orders . I also wasn’t back up on my orders . I’ve always shipped in a timely matter . I’m really scared and freaking out because this is my only job . If I lose my store . I’ll lose everything.
Gosh - you're no newbie. There must have been some indication, or email? Sorry that happened - hopefully it was done in error. All you can do is try to reach Etsy thru the Help Center contact links and wait.
Good luck!
The first item I looked at from your store is from AliExpress.
Let me get this straight, you are selling a $3.99 aliexpress necklace for $56....
Oy vey ... seems many worldwide sellers, Etsy included, are selling your exact same items ... all labeled handmade ... but one has to wonder "handmade by who"? Curating items and reselling them as handmade is against Etsy TOU!! Perhaps Etsy did the right thing by putting your ship on vacation!
The exact same necklace you sell for over £15, is on aliexpress for under £2
all the pictures are exactly the same.
Etsy has taken down your shop, because they do not think you handmake your items.
If you do, and the sellers on aliexpress have stolen your photos, then issue takedown notices to aliexpress, (and all the other sites) and once they have been removed, lodge an appeal to etsy, with evidence you handmake them
That’s not true AliExpress steals my designs and post them on there . I work with my sister to come up with the style and designs . They even steal my pictures that’s why I had to start using watermarks on my pictures and videos .Ive been business for 10 years . The last 6 years I put my business online versus only doing a physical store .The quality and the metal type is not the same . They just make a cheaper version of my jewelry style .
@Lavishluxxshop: Then you need to file the appropriate DMCA take down notices with AliExpress and any other site that is using your images. The documentation of the claim will also help you Etsy.
The way you have your shop set up makes you look like a reseller. You have no pictures of your studio and metal working machines or tools. If you are designing and having a manufacturer make your items only for you, you could have pictures of your sketchbook and studio where you make those designs.
If you show pictures of those things and share them with Etsy maybe they will take that into consideration. If you have a manufacturer making your designs, you may also want to contact them as they appear to be making the same items for many other sellers.
Your items from the pics on your reviews are all on Aliexpress:
Maybe Etsy has caught you reselling...which is against the rules.
Hello,
If you really design your items yourself and you are the designer of your items and they are manufactured by a company on your behalf just for you, surely you have an exclusive contract with this company. Does this contract exclude the manufacturer from selling your designed items to other customers? Present this exclusive contract, which clearly states this, to Etsy. Maybe they can prove it that way. Trust is good, control is better.
Seeing so many of these posts this week.. The reseller purge is here. Thank god. Etsy have you finally actually done it.. why not announce it.
I'm really glad to see a reseller purge, but some of these posts make me wonder if the net is scooping up handmade items that have been copied by resellers.
There is lots of good advice in the forums but I think it will be necessary for the creators of the original handmade items to:
1. Have pictures of their shops, process, and designs in their about section.
2. File DCMAs.
3. Watermark their photos (not foolproof though)
4. Have alternate versions of photos they can use.
5. Make sure their descriptions provide details that differentiate themselves from copycats.
6. Know how to contact Etsy ... Help, one case, and keep responding I still need help.
