Fixed shipping costs not showing in new listing form

Jump to solution

I use shipping profiles, not calculated shipping, and although I understand that calculated shipping costs were having problems in the new form, my fixed cost shipping profile amounts are not showing either.  The title of the shipping profile shows, but it is taking a great deal of time to double check the titles rather than having the amount visible when listing.

I understood that Etsy was fixing the glitches in the new form and I would like to know when this will be fixed.

yes that is annoying.

i am not sure if etsy thinks it is a glitch.

so i changed my shipping profile names.

now they say:

6.99 plus 35 cents.

7.99 plus 45 cents.

stickers 1.99 plus 0.

stickers 2.99 plus 25 cents.

etc.

i dislike work-arounds.

but i dislike clicking edit or change shipping profiles.

on every listing.

just to find out what the prices are for that profile.

We are only other sellers here and have no idea if or when that will be fixed.

I just double checked, and I posted in the Technical Issues forum, which is the one that Etsy staff does read, so I am posting in the correct place.

@AnchorRoadVintage: "... Technical Issues forum, which is the one that Etsy staff does read ..." Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).

@AnchorRoadVintage  posted in the correct part of the forum.

and etsy does read tech issues.

that is why it is here!

plus she has been here for years and understands how the forum sections work : )

That's a great idea and great work around. Will do this but...

we should not have to! A price is a very very basic piece of information to include on a back end of an e-commerce website.

But thank you!

I too have gone with fixed flat rate profiles and couldn't see what they were when I wanted to use them.  So I have been going back and forth.  Looks like the solution is renaming them as mentioned above.  For years we haven't been able to rely on etsy to fix things.  We have to use our own ingenuity and support of the community.

Over recent months/weeks,I was able to get a goodly number of draft listings prepared and "copy" many listings using the old form and edited to get all my shipping prices and necessary edits completed using the old listing form as I never believed Etsy statement: "Don’t worry; you won’t miss any of your favorite features."

The calculated shipping is not going through on all my items, and so they are all defaulting to priority mail cost, which is often twice as much. I end up giving refunds in shipping to everyone.  So annoying! I know this will reduce sales. I want the old form back!!
