First International Sale

I made a sale to a new customer in the UK. The item sells for $75.00. Etsy collected $191.87 and sent me $109.87. The customer paid $84.87 for USPS International Prioirity Mail. If I am doing the math correctly I will make $21.40 ($109.87-84.87=$21.40) on a $75.00 item, assuming Etsy takes out $84.87 out of my payment account on May 1. Am I am calculating this correctly? How does Etsy calculate shipping costs? I am thinking I need to raise my prices or give a custom shipping quote for internatinal shipping? Is this possible?

I am in Australia. If I purchased one of your Listings and selected upgrade to shipping, this is what Etsy would charge

Item(s) totalShipping

AU$63.88
AU$81.47
(To United States, 70011)
Total AU 145.35

Re: First International Sale

Etsy charged the Buyer for Shipping. You can use that $ 84.87 to purchase an Etsy Shipping Label or to use your own Carrier

Etsy will not deduct the $ 84.87 at the end of the Month. You have to spend it.

I am unsure why Etsy "sent" you $ 109.87. You should have received Order Total + Shipping - approx 10-12 % in Fees (25-27 % if the Order was a result of an Off-Site ad)

Etsy calculates Shipping according to the information a Seller enters into the Shipping Profile. But Etsy does not purchase the Shipping. You do.

@Luxcis: Your 'Payment account' page will give you a detailed breakdown of all credits and debits related to the order.
