Failed to Purchase Shipping Lables

Hey all,

I'm having a continuing issue with shipping labels - haven't been able to purchase for the last 3 days (at least).

Every time I try to create a label will always get the "label failed to purchase" error message.

Is anyone else experiencing this and is anyone aware if Etsy are looking into the problem?

I don't use Etsy labels at all. Australia Post is quite easy to use, cheaper in price.  You can set up an account quite easily.

AusPost business is my back-up atm. Pricing is on par.

The reason I want to keep using the Etsy labels is because the labels are all prefilled  automatically. Saves a lot of time!

Using AP means alot of cutting and pasting.

I'm having the same problem - relieved to hear it's not just me. I can print labels for Australia but not the US.

I thought it might have been something to do with AP's price increase from the first of July. However I've been experiencing this from about 29th/30th June.

Update: I spoke with Etsy help desk but didn't get far.

First they were trying to say I was entering the details for the labels incorrectly.

Then they told me the engineering team were looking into the issue.

When I pressed them for a time frame for when the issue would be resolved, they wouldn't say.

Told me to use 'alternative providers' for shipping labels.

Yes i'm having the same problem today as well. will use AP Business if need be but would prefer to be able to use the prefilled etsy version!

@printJAMaustralia: You need to edit your post before an Etsy moderator does. It is against the Community Policy to post verbatim communications with Etsy.

Thanks for the heads up - looks like they removed my prior post.

Etsy obviously have to resources to enforce policies on an open forum for sellers - but don't seem to have the ability to fix a lingering systems integration problem...

I'm having the same thing, bit rough it going on for 2 weeks. I guess it's just an Aus post issue, probably changes to their API and how etsy communicates.

Guess it wont be fixed anytime soon

Yeh this has been a problem for some time. I mentioned it on forums before but no answer was identified. I guess there are problems with linking the systems together. I found regularly that fail to purchase appeared, particularly when I was sending more than one box. I also found with labels for packages being sent within Australia, the system appeared to be thinking my boxes were too large to post. My boxes are all below the size requirements for air mail. So I couldn't obtain postage labels for local sales at all. The Australian Post system works well.
