Etsy website glitch

Jump to solution

Hi all! I’m just trying to edit my shop and listings but my desktop looks misconfigured. I can click on the icons but cannot do anything on the right side of the screen. Doesn’t anyone else have a glitch problem right now?

If you are running Safari, then several others did too - including me.  I found the solution and posted it yesterday.  Here it is copied and pasted for you!..........................

Hi everyone!  I have a MacBook Air, running Safari and yesterday all of the Etsy webpages for my shop wouldn't load right.  They were totally out of wack.  I googled, and found a page from Apple Support that fixed the problem!

Here is the website - scroll down to where it says 'Test with a private window'

I followed the instructions exactly and it fixed it within minutes!

https://support.apple.com/en-us/102564#:~:text=Check%20network%20settings,that%20changed%20them%20fo....

Here are the instructions copied and pasted:

Test with a private window

A website can store cookies, caches, and other data on your Mac, and issues with that data can affect your use of the website. To prevent the website from using that data, view it in a private window: From the menu bar in Safari, choose File > New Private Window, or press Shift-Command-N.

If that works, use the following steps to remove the website's data, including its caches and cookies. The website can then create new data as needed. If it's a website that you sign in to, make sure that you know your sign-in information before continuing.

  1. Choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences), then click Privacy.

  2. Click Manage Website Data.

  3. Select the affected website from the list shown.

  4. Click Remove.

  5. Click Done.

  6. Open the website again in a non-private browser window.

Yup! ANY shop link I click in someone's bio looks all displayed weird and all messed up. If I go to safari and type in Etsy manually everything displays properly. Still doing it today when I click someone's direct link. It almost looks like when a website isn't finished being set up lol.
