The past two days I have not been able to change the USPS postage type (on the Etsy shipping label page) for an order on 3 separate times. It only lets me choose the first one that comes up, which is fine for one package but not another. For example, if I need to mail a vintage book that sold, it won't let me choose the Media Mail option but only the first one listed, which is Ground Advantage and sometimes Priority Mail. (When I click on the circle to the left of the shipping option, like Media Mail, it won't "take," and the screen jumps back up to only the first option.) Unfortunately, when it's a book to mail (which weighs a lot), I end up loosing significant money on the purchase when I can't choose Media Mail (for an order here in the USA). By the way, I usually say in the listing info that it will be sent "in a water-resistant padded mailer via Media Mail for USA delivery," so the customer knows what mail class will most likely be used by me before they buy.
In the past 15 years I've been selling on Etsy, I have never seen this issue happen before. It can cause a delay in shipping (because I have to take the package to the post office and wait in line for a clerk - you can't get Media Mail postage from the automated machine anymore here - thus delaying shipping the item, which can affect my Star Seller status. I guess I'll have to change how soon I mail items to 3-4 days, in case of weekends, holidays, or the rare day when I cannot get to the post office during their open hours. I hope you can help!
Thanks, Denise at BlueSkyLane
It's been glitchy, someone else had the same issue a couple of days ago. Try a different browser, that worked for the other seller. Or use PirateShip.
Same issue. I don't know what to do because I can't ship a 36x36 inch box the way it wants it shipped.

I have the same problem since 3 days ago.

I forgot about the Shipping Pirate. I will be using them to ship my orders before Etsy works out the solution.
I am having the same problem right now, among other glitches editing shipping profiles, I am really fed up with this!
Are they acknowledging the problem and working on it?
I have eleven orders to ship and none of them were selected as priority shipping.
Etsy must reimburse us for the losses.
Did you try the fixes I suggested earlier? Try a different browser, or use PirateShip.
Etsy is unlikely to reimburse you as you have other options for labels.
I signed in through another browser and it worked. Thank you @bradgoodell
Yes, thanks so much for the suggestion, BradGoodell!!!!! I can change the shipping option now when using the Windows browser; it still is not working in Chrome, which I had been used to. I did contact Etsy twice, but only got an AI or Bot response. I hope someone at Etsy can see there is a problem and can fix it. The shipping page should work with any browser like it has for years.
Glad I could be of help.
This is insane that we have to open two browsers just to ship a package. They want us to use their labels and they do save money but make it work, and no I don't want to pay for other places to make them when they charge us so many fees the stuff should work on all browsers.
@CypressClocksThings PirateShip is FREE, integrates with Etsy, and for some things, offers lower rates than Etsy does. And PirateShip has excellent customer service.
Frankly, I can't think of any good reason to give Etsy your shipping business when there is a potentially cheaper choice with better customer service.
Is anyone from Etsy addressing this issue? I can not find anything on the subject from them.
Not that I have heard. I have submitted a help question twice on Etsy and the only update I've gotten is to give a rating for the help I got (from the Bot or AI). Nothing about the issue! But use another browser; Windows worked for me; Chrome has not worked for 4 days at least; or try ShipPirate like the other seller suggested, which I had not heard of but will definitely check it out now!
