Etsy not texting verification code to cell phone?

I am trying to log onto Etsy from my other computer and it's not texting the code to my phone number right now. Anyone else experiencing this issue right now? it's 5:59pm central 10/12/2022.

If you can't get the code, hopefully you have your list of backup codes from when you first setup 2FA.

I am having the same issue. My backup codes are not granting access. I contacted Etsy and finally can receive texts from the system, however those codes are also not working and I can't log in. I've contacted Etsy again to try and get them to shut off the 2-step authentication for me.

This is happening to me also! It won't send, so I can't verify my account and it logged me out on my computer. So if I don't get Etsy to send me the codes within 30 days, I lose my small business?? I'll be devastated! This is really stressing me out right now :(( NOTHING is working and I can't even find a way to contact Etsy for help.

Odd…they never text me the code, they call on my cell phone and an automated voice gives me the code (often too fast for me to follow unless I’ve got a pen/paper handy).

I literally just made a post about this. I'm slightly comforted to know that it's not just me, but it's still super stressful. Sorry to know you're in the same boat though. Hopefully this can be fixed asap. They logged me out because they wanted me to update bank info, now I can't get back in.

There have been other reports in this forum with issues receiving the code for two factor authorization (2FA) via text. At the time you set up 2FA you were offered the chance to download a list of backup codes. If you did that, you could use one of those to log in. Even though they are ask for the  six digit code, the nine digit backup code will work.

Yes ; I’m so frustrated! It’s extremely delayed; I got a text like an hour later … in the meantime I’m locked out because you only have 5 minutes to get the code.

No text here either.  I also tried my backup codes and nothing happens when I input one.  Just kicks me back to main login.  Still unable to  log in from desktop.  I am still logged in on my phone app however.

Yes this is happening to me right now and came to the forums to check if others were, too. Thankfully I recently printed out my authorization codes so I was able to log in with one of those.

Etsy tech-support was able to turn off my two factor authentication. So now I can login on my browser. However, I still can’t receive a text from Etsy and therefore can’t re-enable two factor authentication. Hopefully at some point this problem will bubble up to the right level of tech-support and they will fix the problem. From their Twitter account, it looks like this happened two weeks ago, too.

Same here....I just asked for tech support to turn off my 2FA like Jay did. Hopefully they respond sooner than later.....I have listings waiting to be put up. Looks like asking everyone to verify their bank accounts made the system crash. I was logged in fine until I tried starting that process.
